Very, very noob question about Legendaries and Exotics
So...lately I've been running a lot of Prison of Elders and just recently ran Crota's End and I am confused on why the exotic I got, and all of the legendaries that dropped were Level 20. It made them so obsolete to my other weapons. Keeping in mind, I'm level 40 and completed all expansion packs (the story at least), how can I get higher level drops?

The weekly strike almost always drops a higher light level drop until you are light level 280 then it drops less frequently.
