Can't tell you how many times I've popped hammer and instantly been sniped or shotgunned :(

Your health must of already been low. I've hit 190 crits with a sniper on numerous occasions on sunbreaker titans.

I don't use the health recovery perk in PvE so I often forget to put it on for PvP

Was your health low already? Both being a sun titan and fighting one, I can tell you that Sunbreakers can tank pretty much any single thing.

If they have the skill which begins health recovery after a solar kill, they can tank like pros. Without that skill though, you have regular health.
