Court of Empty?
So this new endgame activity is barren now? I've sat here waiting for someone to enter the area in order to complete the antiquated rune and there's no one. That rare occasion when someone does enter the area, they either realize they made a wrong turn and leave or continue to the mausoleum. Why is this place so empty and is there a way Bungie can increase the chance of someone entering the same instance as another player?

Quite literally spent an hour today doing back to back tier 3's, mixed with the odd tier 2 to proc new antiquated runes. Don't wait for people to come to you. If it's empty, go to orbit, then load back in. It won't take you long to find an instance with people running it. Especially in the overlap between EU and US play times on a weekend.

The entire games empty. I go to the tower - empty. I patrol any planet - empty. I remember when I use to struggle for kills there was so many ppl.

2 RepliesBungie's lack of dedicated servers and terrible patrol matchups are to blame for that. That's why out of [i]thousands[/i] of players on Earth patrol, there is basically never someone in the rocketyard at a convenient time.

11 RepliesFive of our clan were trying to matchmake into the same instance of the Dreadnaught last night so we could tackle some CoO together. Gave up after an hour. Bungie really need to address this. I think the Court is a great idea, and it is technically meant to be a public event - but why is it seemingly impossible for five players to be in the same instance when both seem to be otherwise empty?

Yesterday we had 7 people, coin to other fireteams and got all 10 in for the court and did around 8 antiquated runes :)

You have to go on LFG and actually look for 2 other members. Then when someone does turn up just get them in the party chat and get 2 other people to add him. Then once you have 6 players, the amount of engrams you get is well worth the trouble. I was doing a couple hours ago. Got about 30-35 engrams, some already decoded of course. But when i cashed in all my engrams, I got, the god of war shader. It finally dropped for me lol been wanting that shader ever since i first seen it.

It's true. Usually it's pretty empty unless you get lucky. We got lucky last night and there was a fireteam of three there. My buds and I (also a fireteam of 3) needed to do the tier three so we messaged them and they agreed to help if we also helped them. One hour and about 10 fanatics of crota later, I had so many blue and purple engrams lying around it wasn't even funny lol it was awesome.

You're right, most of the time, the court is empty. Sometimes you get lucky though. Me and a friend were there last night and immediately someone joined. Within 15 minutes there was 6 of us smashing the level 3 rune getting loads of goodies.

Problem with the court is stolen runes are random and so once people use all tier one they stand around realizing they dont have a tier two. Not to mention their is 0 incentive to be there other then to help a friend 99% of the time you dont even get a green engram out the chest its mainly from kills

I've been soloing them. I tried the tier 3 but it's kinda hard for me. Just need 1 more and forsure can 2 man it

I love the people that say you should orbit out and back to find people. Blam that. How about Bungie adds dynamic load balancing so I don't have to have my own personal dreadnaught zone. I agree with OP. Public events without the public are just story mode events.

Just grab a fireteam from the forums and do a few reciprocals and people will come.

1 ReplyLand in the hull breach, run to the hall of souls, see nobody there, go to orbit, repeat. This is stupid. There are 2 possible solutions. The first was mentioned by others and is allowing 6 player fire teams for patrol (this would also help with the taken champions on patrol although 3 players seem to be able to do those). The second solution would be to make the Court of Oryx a separate destination with matchmaking. There could be 3 light levels which would be a clue as to which tier you would likely play. Even if there are not 3 levels matchmaking would help even if you went in with a fire team of 3 and other fire teams came into the same instance. It seems like poor planning on Bungie's part to prepare for this. Or maybe they were just too busy patting themselves on the back to understand that everybody might not view the game activities in the same way as the developer. This needs to be fixed.

Just must have bad luck buddy. I popped in last night and there were 7 other players there. Think after an hour or so it dwindled down to 6 of us.

I popped in there last night just to get the chest under the platform. Spent about 40 min with 3-4 randoms just running rune after rune. Picked up about 20 blue engrams and 3 legendaries in that span. When you go fishing do you expect all the fish to be sitting there waiting for you to drop a hook in the water? Sometimes you gotta sit and wait.
