Your drops within the crucible are based on your characters light level. It should be based in the highest light level that character has ever been. Otherwise, when running old but good weapons like necrochasm or felwinters, you get shit drops. I can get to 285. With my crucible guns, I get dropped to 243. I shouldn't be getting 250 weapons if I can be 285. That's just bad design.
