Does that mean
1) use a few of them at the same time to increase probability of an exotic drop,
Or,
2) use one, and if the exotic doesn't drop, the next boss will have a higher probability of dropping an exotic? And then if the next boss doesn't drop, the subsequent ultra will have an even higher probability?
I think 1) makes sense more because 2) means you are ALWAYS guaranteed an exotic eventually as you defeat enough ultras.
My own experience indicates 1) makes more sense too. I got Invective after utilizing two coins but nothing after that even after using one coin each of the subsequent ultra fights.
Thoughts?

Use 1 coin before each Ultra kill. The stacking basically increases your chances after each Ultra you kill with no Exotic engram drop. Use a coin to increase chance of exotic, kill an Ultra. If no exotic drops, consume another coin and now your buff is more Kill Ultra If no Exotic drops, consume another coin, your buff is even bigger..........continue. Hopefully you see the pattern.

2 RepliesDoesn't the buff symbol on ur guardian screen have a 9? IX? Not sure what it indicates...

I personally don't believe stacking does anything .. One by one is better
-
Almost 2. If u use one and he doesn't drop an exotic the next time you use a coin for an ultra it will be a higher chance to drop. You need to use one before every kill.
-
1 ReplyGo into a strike, pop one at the beginning. Finish strike and kill boss, then pop another at the beginning of next strike (or anytime between the last boss kill and the next one). Repeat.
-
2 RepliesI've never stacked them, but eventually got a drop, so you thought number 2 is correct. I farmed them last week, if I went 4 or 5 in a row without a drop, I'd go do a strike and it would drop there
-
So it's only a stack of 3?? Hence the 3 of coin?? .. I've been doing ok doing them single averaging 1 exotic every ten.
-
Borh. You can stack them for better chances but if one doesn't drop the next time you use them you have a better chance of one dropping

And here's another thought. If it's 1), wouldn't it make sense to use as many coins on the same run to increase the probability up to 100 percent? Or is there a cap on the number of coins you can use at the same time - either physically (you can't press down on square after x coins are used) or the probability is capped (eg one coin is 5 percent, two coins are 10 percent, three coins are 15 percent, but then any further coins used remain at 15 percent).

Does 3 of coins only work in the strikes?
