Halitus Lux Bracers (Breath of life?)
Ghosts can be destroyed. That's when a titan must handle their burden.
-Using ward of dawn while standing over a downed player expends the bubble, but revives them.
OR
-perhaps using disintegrate on an ally uses the melee charge, but heals them and gives shields?
Might give the titan that true "support" or "healer" feel.
Also the gloves could be made from ghost shells (or something light based?)
I personally do not play titan, but this idea just came to me in the shower. Not sure if op.
(Wouldn't revive other titans with item to prevent serious loopage)
Feel free to agree or disagree, any and all feedback is appreciated. Also not sure if this is the right area to post this. First forum post.
EDIT:
Thank you all for your great feedback. I quickly became aware the first potential perk I thought of would be far too situational, and wouldn't be worth an exotic slot.
Its important for me to remember the titan is a "defender" and not a "healer". Preventing harm through any means is what it takes to be a good defender.
It seems in a nutshell, people would like the bubble to gain some other sort of utility, such as movement, or AOE damage.
So I have two more proposals based off the ideas you have supplied.
1: Bubble is mobile. Either it follows you like an aura, and teammates in that aura gain the benefits you have chosen for your subclass. Or it becomes like an item, you can pick up its core, drop it, move it, throw it, whatever.
2: The Bubble is to be feared. It could return a percentage of the damage it takes in an area, or release pulses like any other grenade. Perhaps it could even push enemies away with each pulse. Some have even suggested it explodes once it expires.
Again, thanks for the discussion, I look forward to hearing more feedback.

Edited by DJ: 9/26/2015 6:58:32 PMWhat about
when you activate your super, you gain a throwable object like a grenade that spawns a Titan bubble on impact.
2 RepliesHere's what I think. Ward of Dawn needs to be completely revamped. I present to you. The NEW Ward of Dawn: Summon a shield from the void, defending your allies from harm Your super is now the VoG relic. It's a timed super that drains with uses. You can move from place to place and summon a shield over your allies. You can melee with it. You can slam with it. All three of those actions drain your super. Perks: -Fortress: your allies gain blessing and weapons of light. (Buff lasts 6 seconds, 3 in pvp) -Sword and Board: increased armor. Melee attacks with your shield extend the duration and strength of Force Barrier. -Blitz: your allies can shoot through your ward of dawn. Ward of Dawns timer is drastically shortened. -Heroic Charge: charge your enemy with your shield. Kills with heroic charge leave Voidspots (small overshield)

Edited by vD-raId3r: 9/26/2015 6:52:54 PMOr an exotic that gives you for free weapons or armor of light...for the bubble
-
Edited by gcw0068: 9/26/2015 6:50:14 PMThe second one. An alternative to the first one could be, https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/156802223 Basically, free orbs of light instead of a ward. When cast, you regen health due to that one armor perk, and gain an overshield via force barrier. But here's my favorite idea for a defender exotic: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/150409193 It makes a defender just what the name implies.

Item: The unyielding Description: no matter how fortified, all walls erode. Exotic perk: breeze of the void Casting ward of dawn lets out a blast of void energy. The walls of your Ward let loose void aftermaths Essentially the initial blast will be damaging but an AoE will surround the ward to discourage entering or lingering by it
-
4 RepliesFront line Greaves -when we need to expand, you will be the firts to jump over the wall- -expanding city - makes your ward of dawn smaller, but is attached to you and will move with you. (Just like in the 2013 trailer)
-
I've always wanted the buff the bubble gives to be active for as long as the super is active. So like regenerating over shield and constant weapons of light. Meaning pass in it once, gain the buff until death or end of super. Also could be ended prematurely if user is killed. I feel like this would take the defender to the next level....and to a spot it should belong.
-
Shoulders of the watch -when the whole weight of the city is on your shoulder, you can not break- -The Wall -makes your ward of dawn unbreakable
-
Crest of the saint -bringer of light -killing an opponent inside the ward of dawn heals all allies inside and provides orbs of light for your teammates
-
Sounds cool. Give Warlocks a healing thing too, they seem like they'd be the natural healer, with their magic and naturally higher recovery.
-
The first idea is a waste, it would be better to use the saint exotic and cast the bubble on the corpse, and manually rez them. The second idea is great, I would love that on me defender
-
3 RepliesMaybe if there was an exotic to use the Ward to unleash a devastating explosion when enemies go inside it. Like a triggered thing if you get swarmed. Less potent than a Fist of Panic, but effective at clearing out swarms of annoying trash mobs.
-
1 ReplyRevives take like 2 seconds... I don't understand the exotic. If you have a bubble over them you can Rez them with ease. I would never ever sacrifice a bubble for a revive when I can easily do one with the other.
-
I understand you were going for a Maya from borderlands 2, but what made her support build good was that it's ranged. It's a decent idea, but in its proposed state, totally unviable.
-
Nice. Very good idea!
-
7 RepliesEh. For the revive one if I put my bubble down odds are good that I'll be getting a revive anyway, especially if I have bastion on for the extra revive timer. Most of the time I'd rather have both the revive, cover and buff rather then just a revive. As for the gloves, it's an interesting idea. I'd honestly rather Titans stay more like a tank then a medic but having a heal/overshield for teammates could open some interesting possibilities. Honestly, what I'd like to see is something like that for Warlocks since they don't really have any sort of support outside of clutching/self-res. Personally, the exotics I'd want for Defender would be something a bit more offensive. Either a bubble filled with poison of some sort that gradually damages enemies inside, or something that makes the bubble opaque to people/enemies outside of it while retaining full visibility inside.
-
Like the second option. First one sounds horrible. Defenders can simply use WoD over a dead teammate and then spend the next 3 seconds to revive them no big deal. Personally an exotic for a moving WoD with a modified Armor of Light would be nice.
-
3 RepliesI feel like a good exotic idea for the Defender would be a perk that lets you shoot out of the bubble from the inside
-
1 ReplyI'd rather make Ward a dangerous place for my enemies. Smoke bomb-likehood of damage and such.
-
1 ReplyEdited by SuBBy360: 9/25/2015 5:31:42 AMIf I remember correctly on old destiny footage there was a clip of a Titan moving his bubble, could maybe be a future exotic perk
-
1 ReplyI kinda want a perk that allows people to shoot out of the bubble or maybe one that makes your bubble deal dmg to nearby enemies
-
3 RepliesI could see the healing part but the bubble already lets you revive a player safely and keeps both of you alive. e.g. you buddy is dead near fallen captains that have shrapnel launchers. Both of you may not make it out of that if in the open.
-
3 RepliesIf you pop a bubble over a downed player, you can easily just revive them without expending the bubble so I don't see the point.
