You are not elite, you had enough time on your hands. Some of us could only attempt one or two times. I talked to one guy who got it after 11 hours. Does that make him elite? No, but it does make him passionate and strong-minded. As much as I'd have liked the 310 version it wasn't worth the time.

10.5 hours to rank his new character and .5 to get the sniper??
-
Does 11 hours make him elite?
-
Elites are in halo
-
Wart wart wart
-
Enough time? It only took 15-20mins to do it.
-
Dude, look at your Titan. You've already invested tons of hours into the expansion. You have multiple 300+ pieces, probably a raid completion or two. You put in the time so a task like this wasn't that difficult. You likely had two friends 300 light to help. For you? No, not that much time. For us who barely scratched the surface of the new content? Yes it would have been a long time investment.
-
LMAO! That makes you a damn liar cause you only get 10 minutes to get the task done.
-
Yea but the 5 - 10 mins comes from loading and the pre-Taken ship? I meant it takes you 15-20 mins from the second you sit down and start your console up.
-
I tried twice. Died from adds opening a relic door the first time. Got it the second time. Check my recent games. All it takes is communication and team work. I honestly don't see why people say it was that a hard, unless your fire team didn't form a plan and just rushed in. Mainly referring to the people you said took 11 hours.
-
Some of us refuse to resort to LFG for difficult tasks. I personally did both raids blind with family and friends only. Same with Skolas and again with King's Fall, which I've yet to try. I heard about the Spindle, gathered my brother and a friend and attempted it twice. Our lights were 288 (me), 270, and 268. It just didn't cut it. I could have (had I had time) gone straight to LFG looking for high light people to help, but that's not my style and I know a lot of people out there are the same. The reason so many people here would disagree is because these are the social people to begin with. I'm active on the forums every day, but I'm not always down for LFG. It's more fun with people you know IMHO
-
I'm no where near what anyone would call social lol. I used to be against LFG, but decided I would rather do content when it's fresh and relevant so I use the forums, LFG, random tower invites or whatever it takes to get the job done if my friends aren't online. I've found a lot of good people on there. Some are asshats for sure, but the majority are people just looking for a group to complete content like us. But yeah playing with friends is always best.
-
Yeah there are some good dudes out there. Two people on my friends list I met in LFG when I was deployed and on a weird time schedule and family and friends were sleeping. I also agree about things being relevant. What's the incentive to play VoG or CE now that the rewards aren't infusable? But people saying you're not elite if you weren't 300 light by literally a week after launch, in time for someone to discover this ridiculous side mission that has a cool reward...it's just asinine lol.
-
Agree 100% I play with my real life friends and they're not the most skilled guys out there but dammit they're my buds. We struggle a lot but it feels good when we complete a difficult task. Playing with people from lfg just ain't the same.
-
Edited by Stryker Shaka: 9/24/2015 9:40:19 PMIt really isn't the same! There's this magic that happens when you play with people who's faces and temperaments you know. For instance my older brother WILL rage quit if he dies too much. He blames everything on the game and not his poor decision making haha. So I do everything I can to keep him alive. It's really great to play with friends and family because you're all invested in each other's goals. When you play in LFG you just hope you picked two people who aren't knuckleheads so you can get your desired item. It's really a selfish way to play. It's the reason why randoms bail on you after a failed Nightfall or too many wipes in a raid. They essentially won't take credit for their mistakes, whereas I'm more likely to apologize to my friends when we lose on the heels of my terrible play haha
-
Me & my bro did it once midday 3 tries That's 1 spindle At evening we 2 Man'ed it That's 2 spindles That shit requires big balls
-
I don't even have a second character started yet lol I tip my hat to you, earlier this year I was a daily player. I'm lucky if I can squeeze in an hour every other day now. Stupid life.
-
It only took many of us 1 or 2 tries...
-
And others?
-
Edited by dostranamus: 9/24/2015 9:10:32 PMYou say people who have it only do so because excessive time on their hands. It's not true .
-
Yes it is true. People who got it in one or two tries STILL had an hour or more to spare. Some of us are lucky if we get 30 minutes in during the week. Some people took the ENTIRE day to get the weapon. That's dedication and no insults meant to those people, but it in no way, shape or form, makes them elite.
-
Lol 1st try. The next 4 however were epic fails. With different fireteam members though.
-
Not worth the effort? Tell that to all the spider/goliath tanks xD
-
If it still drew from thin air that'd be awesome. Honestly the ONLY reason I wanted it was to infuse with my exotic scout rifle. But looks like I have to do the the intended way =/
-
That's the only downside even so I got 23 sniper rounds that won't be interrupted with reloads I haven't had a good legendary sniper drop yet so this gun is amazing when I'm not using my telesto that is
-
lol u mad bro
