He did manage it. He indicated the issue. He informed us of the solution. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it not handled. It's over and it's the right move.

His job is to manage the community. Not to respond to every child who thinks he has been done wrong. They are fixing a bug. Thats their job.

10,000 replies in less than a day is not "every child who thinks he has been done wrong." It's a community wanting to be heard, and he needs to acknowledge us.

10,000 replies does not equal 10,000 people. Most of the replies are from people attacking those who agree with the fix and understand why it needs to be fixed. He is under no obligation to cave into a mob mentality.

He IS under an obligation to manage and interact with his community. That's what a community manager does.

They already explained. It's a BUG. They are fixing it because it affect the balance of exotics. It's supposed to be at 290 just like all the others and that it what they are fixing. They aren't Nerfing or lowering anything. They are returning it to the way it was designed and intended. His job is not to patrol the forums and respond to every concern or issue. That isn't what a community manager does or is meant to do.

So therefore they are not TAKING anything. They are fixing it to where the weapon is represented as it was originally intended. The "Community" part of his job doesn't just apply to the online community. Its the community as a whole. Meaning the gaming community. He represents Bungie as a company in the press and at events. His job is not to sit and read all the threads on the forums. He is the Community Manager but his job does not involve actually MANAGING the community. That is the job of the moderators. Don't you ever notice how Deej is always apart of press event and gaming expo's? Its because THAT is is job. He is the voice of Bungie to the people and the people's voice to Bungie. ALL people everywhere. Not just on the forums. He nor Cozmo or Urk are obligated to give into the mob mentality of the forums and comment on anything. He simply takes the response into consideration and passes it along to the design team. He is the decision maker. He is the messenger.
