Deej, I'd recommend leaving it at 310.
That side mission is a nightmare and a 310 weapon reward is appropriate as it takes a lot of effort to finish it within the time limit.

10 mins. Every other one we've encountered thus far requires hours upon hours of Questing and grinding. This? Just be on the right day and play the mission for an extra 10 mins. If you fail, come back. Just like regaining Last Word % for Chaperone.

Sure but it isn't about the time commitment it is about the difficulty.

Does the Chaperone drop at 310? Did the Thorn drop at 300? With the Spindle, this thing is max Impact, for Snipers, that means that the only drawbacks are Reload (avg 3s) and mag size (always 3) as the reserve ammo is typically universal in all the cases except Black Hammer. Now, this weapon takes away those two entirely and suddenly is the godsend of all Sniper DPS. This thing is the Gjalla of Crits. And they only made it so that instead of pounding away ad continuum you have to stop and grab ammo. What does the Raid focus on? Getting crits in limited time intervals on communication oriented targets. Spindle is godly automatically. All you need to do is invest a few Makrs into it and some spare Raid gear. (of which, the Specials aren't anything too special)
