Most of the time I just do the things I enjoy in the game, but occasionally I do more boring things to better equip my char for the fun stuff. I liked the taken fight on the ketch, but running the whole heroic story over and over to get there was very boring. (Granted, half the problem was allowing a lower-light level friend of mine to stay in the party at first; it got a lot easier once I built a superteam of strangers instead.) I did it because I thought the reward was worth some hassle; unfortunately, the reward was a coding error. I think it's fair to call shenanigans on that. They've known all day that Black Spindle was showing at 310 by mistake--why wait all day to announce it?
