I thought I had read that somewhere too, but now I can't find it at all.

So maybe at the beginning of next expansion, since that's when the new exotics are out?

Who knows, maybe half way through to the next expansion when people start to get bored and the raid can be completed in 45 minutes with randoms they'll start (re)releasing them.
