The chaperone sucks?
I was trying this weapon in PvP, and imo it sucks balls.
What do you think?

In higher end pve you'll never kill enough with the 5 round mag to activate the final perk, and in pvp Matador, Felwinter's, and Uni are far superior because unless you get the headshot (body shot don't kill) you're dead by the shotguns I just mentioned. Bungie went full retarded on this quest. It harder than the Thorn and unlike the Thorn, it really isn't worth it unless you like being light level 300 and using it to kill level 10 enemies. The Chaperone might someday be the go to weapon for trials players (maybe), but if it does, it's not really because it's worth having, rather because Bungie made all the good shotguns obsolete, but I'm pretty sure there will be other exotics that merit more use. The only thing I have to say to Bungie is: thank you wasting out time. I imagine you couldn't have found a genuine way to keep players interest. I'm beginning to wonder if the sword exotic quest is worth it, or if I'll continue to play after I beat the raid.

I guess its one of those guns we have to get used to first before it feels good, at least in crucible. I expected it to have better range though since it fires a slug. Not worth doing the shield brothers strike for on light level 282 lol.

Just have to be skilled with it due to it firing slugs instead of shot. It's a beast when you get the hang of it

It's unique. It can't body shot 1 shot but then it can be used to success.

For the shit we had to do? Yea it's sub-par, but it's not the worst shotgun I've used in destiny. That award goes to the goddamned white shotguns you get at the beginning of the game... 3 shots in the mag with the range of a Titan melee.
