I find this a very strange move from Bungie. I always felt Bungie was really good about supporting their player base. They always released the DLC for free to the entire community in time. This seems like a complete reversal to everything I really liked/supported about Bungie. I have been playing Bungie games for > 20 years. It's sad that in an effort to squeeze a few more bucks out of a small minority of players I will no longer be able to afford to buy their games.
While I expect the push for this comes from Activision, the fact that Bungie is not sticking up for the consumers rights really saddens me, and reduces the number of game companies I actually have respect for to zero. It's not like Destiny has not been a commercial success. It's making lots of money for Activision. I guess 10 million dollars a year in salary is not enough for Bobby Kotick. How can we have any respect for somebody who is so out of touch with the realities of people who actually work for a living.
