So....I've seen a bunch of guides in how to acquire this weapon. In my option it's very well rounded and the armor buff helps characters that have low armor (hunters). In addition, getting a 290 in a primary weapon slot is important to level your characters as all drops are graded based on the light level you are currently acquiring the loot (or turning into the crypt) at. This is very short and sweet, but not incomplete... **Please Note** The reason I'm writing this is that it can be completed with pretty much any character at level 40 so as long as you do the quest you can acquire the gun. Do the Petra Quest: The Taken War (Link for help) (Long Quest) After this the Varkis Quest Pops: The Wolves of Mars. (Long Quest One this was completed I was curious in the next step as I've heard it's glitched...ect. The Lost and Found Quest is needed to complete this. After doing this prior of the daily update I was greeted with NO LOST AND FOUND QUEST. I waiting until the next day, and POP. Complete the Lost and Found Quest. (Short Quest - Phew) Once this is all done you will get secondary rewards. Most important step is being Rank 3. I started this at rank 1.5 so I needed to grind and I was hoping all these quests would help. (Blah) To gain more Rep to get to Rank 3 with Petra, I retrieved OLD Quests and grinded those. In addition the specific bounties are important also to rank, do those. I would recommend that the old quests are done as they might inhibit the drop and this is why I completed them. The most difficult thing is how much actual time this takes. Sitting around waiting for taken spawns. In addition you need a second player at least. Reason being you don't want to waste time waiting for more taken spawns and, dropping champions are rough. Once I was Rank 3...Instantly a purple tag popped on the Reef, and there was my gun along with other nice rewards like Glimmer. I hope this helps.
