Mobile market has all but died with the rise in cellphones. Especially with Sony (their products never really took off too much to begin with).
Nintendo has that market cornered. 3ds is their baby right now. Players don't expect the most amazing hardware and graphics from portable games so their current hardware will probably be around for several more years until they decide to beef it up.

Well I really hate playing games on my phone. And the 3ds doesn't have that many interesting games. There's some games on the vita that I want though. Are there any other good handheld consoles in the market?

Nope. It's majority 3DS and a decent amount vita (though it's being phased out quite rapidly it seems).

Well there's not many interesting games on the 3ds. There's actually more games on the vita in total though.

Eh. They may not be very interesting to you but they are very widely loved.

The only games I like on the 3ds are the Zelda games and smash Bros.

You will find only 1 good vita game. I'm not lyin when I say I can go to the store and find a 3ds game that interests me very easily like once every month at most. (Don't buy them all though need to save some money) while vita. Well. It took me since the vita released to find 3 games I actually like. And even then I only still play 1. Toukiden kiwami(monster hunter like game), hatsune miku project diva f 2nd(rhythm game), and disgaea 4 a promise revisited( tactical rpg) The only one I still playis the rhythm game just because it's so easy to pick up play for a few minutes then leave it. While on the 3ds. I have LoZ link between worlds, monster hunter 4 ultimate, animal crossing, Mario and Luigi dream team, pokemon games, Xenoblade chronicles 3d, fire emblem, bravely default, cave story, kid icarus uprising, etrian odyssey, the OoT and MM 3d remakes, Mario 3d land, Luigi's mansion, along with my whole library of DS games available. And that's not including the indies like shovel knight (I know also available on psvita but the point is I can also play in on 3ds) So to me. Owning a vita is almost not worth it. Too hard finding good games. Even the ones people recommend like the uncharted game gravity rush and kill zone are all hit or miss. Those 3 were pretty boring games. And those are the highly recommended vita games to own if you have one.

The only games I like on your list is Zelda, fire emblem, and monster hunter. And I already have oot and mm on my n64. And I don't mind missing out on a link between worlds. I like kill zone and uncharted though but I guess we have different tastes. I sold my 3ds when I got it because there were no games at the time. I could buy a new 3ds or a vita.
