Well?
Where are all the Trolls? What happened to all the "Negative Nancys"? LOL.
I would say, "Destiny is far from dead".
Maybe they're all too busy playing Destiny...

185 RepliesEdited by Dang lmao: 9/22/2015 11:14:32 PMOctober 27th will be the slow spiral of Destiny. TTK'S content might last another month, so far they have NOTHING planned or announced. They might bring back IB or ToO before then, but it's not like two game variants that are only available at certain times, are going to keep people constantly playing this game. When the actual completion arrives Q3/Q4 of this year, and Q1/Q2 of next year, the playerbase is going to drop drastically. You guys can defend this shit until you're blue in the face, but destiny has not had REAL competition along the lines of AAA titles like Halo 5, Fallout 4, and DOOM. These are titles that are tried and true and also have a very large fan base. You can sit there and swear that these people will get bored of those games and come back, but it's very unlikely. UNLESS bungie has planned release of smaller, new content. Let's face it, most of the people here are simply addicted to being the first to do something, being attached to their characters looks, etc. These are all very small things. Being addicted to little things like this will not compare to games with very large content. They've already lost playerbase ever since TDB because of the way they've done things. TTK was the nail in the head if you didn't/don't plan on buying the DLC. There is literally nothing left, unlike previous dlc's where you atleast had access to current, and a few new features. Like I said dude, you and all the fan boys can defend it, sword and shield, but you're not facing reality and defending a game that's going to end up being washed up. You need to realize you're defending a developer (and publisher) that has absolutely no idea what they want to do with this game, or where they want it to go. I.E. adding Etheric Light and receiving much praise, to making it obsolete. Literally, they don't even know what they want to do with them. Luke Smith even admitted to it. You're defending a developer that borderline stole money from their music composer. Thank god the dude got his shit back and fućked bungie until 2016. 20% of shares. If I were you dude, sell, sell, sell. Oh, not to mention their petty shit with counter suing and asked for his copy of the CD's and some fućking coffee mugs. Really people ?! We're talking about devs that know what they want to do with their games, and get that shit basically 99% right at LAUNCH, and you have bungie, which has had to patch some of the dumbest over looked things. They REALLY didn't expect 3 of Coins to not be abused when they had the Loot Cave as a prime example ??? Come on fan boys, let's see what kind of shit you can spew against facts. Edit: done replying. Pointless. I've had my fun. You people will defend whatever you can with whatever you can, even if it's with ignorance. Oh well. If/when the gaming industry goes to complete shit because other developers start catching on to playerbase willing to overlook and support bullshit, don't say I didn't told you so. In the mean time, I'll be supporting other developers that aren't complete jokes, until they decide money is all they're looking for as well. Shout out to anyone here who basically has no morales or standards and doesn't care about ANYTHING rather than their own personal experience. Not worried about the potential future negative effects that will end up affecting everyone.

I'm assuming ttk has old strikes and familiar ground? I refuse to buy it for my principles, the ones that did you deserve it you paid but it sounds like I'm missing a couple of hours worth of original stuff at best . I think I made the right choice.

Edited by Guardian7477: 9/23/2015 6:56:31 AMIt is just like the people that call of duty is terrible Yada Yada Yada and should die yet that is what is most played. But there are so many better games out there... right? Or maybe the gameplay to them is very fun that you just don't like it. The next game that gets played the most is going to get the same treatment about how horrible it is. Fallout 4 is going to kill Destiny right? Nope. The population is going to rise from the fanboys and fans of the series. I will be playing the game no doubt but like many others I don't just play one game. The fact that Destiny has captivated me for so long is because the gameplay has a sweet spot that makes me always want me to come back to it. You can have all the story, content, etc you want but if gameplay isn't good then I will play your game once and that is it. In plus, the elder scrolls series is soo much better than fallout. :)

91 RepliesEdited by nevai: 9/22/2015 8:11:04 PMJust look around: they are everywhere. Every 10th post in #destiny is "not buying TTK", "TTK is taking away HoW content" and etc. Most of complainers went quiet, because they have completely left the game. So if you think TTK is a victory you're wrong: this is the most negatively accepted DLC of Destiny so far. Edit 1: So many replies... we are going to be more popular than the thread itself! Edit 2: Here is what I don't like about TTK: it isolated all players without TTK from content they were able to play before (no old nightfall strikes, daily missions, legendary marks, gear from vendors, ToO and IB, simplified crucible playlists with some game modes completely removed, limited to level 20 strike playlists and story missions) though we payed our money for them in previous DLCs. This is forcing old players to move on to TTK just because there's nothing to do in Destiny without it. There are some other things here and there why I don't buy TTK, but nothing is worse than having to pay to continue playing the content you've already payed for. It's like a subscribtional game model where you should pay every 3 month 20$ to keep playing.

I'll be leaving foe halo5 and fallout 4. But ill prolly come back for desriny 2.

2 Replies"But just in case... Prepare for resurrection ghost." Cayde 6

Yup it's dying that's why you should go back to cod since it's alive
-
I think destiny won't die it will just have slow periods. If they keep making destiny its gonna highs and lows.

2 RepliesLook across the land where I grow my f#ck$, feast thine eyes upon my field, and see that it is barren.

Give it a little bit.

1 ReplyIt's going to die pretty soon cause of that 3 of Coins exploit >_>
-
Go look at the top comments on youtube videos.
-
I guess its in zombie mode
-
I wouldn't say it's doing that much better either, it is for now as it does every DLC but if the community continues with their bullshit Raid requirements then people like myself won't bother to play. No skin off my nose, when the numbers die nobody will care about the Raiders that are maxed out because most will be playing other games
-
Destiny is fun. I enjoy it. TTK had been nothing but badass so far. Can't wait until trials and banner too

Edited by Mommy's little VoGchamp: 9/22/2015 10:23:07 PMIts like Gjallerhorn being sold. They are gonna constantly say it and then in 5+ years when it happens they will be like: "See, told you!". Except it doesn't work that way and everyone saying it has less than 0 facts that Destiny will die soon. It's funny isn't it? To argue for something without any supporting evidence?

7 RepliesWell all I know is come October 27 I've got a set of MJLONIR with my name on it
-
The dreadnaught is a perfect example of how they are developing as PVE developers .... What we (at least I) expected from vanilla destiny
-
I'm happy it didn't. The DLC is a huge step in the right direction. You may still be grinding, but it doesn't feel like it anymore.
-
1 ReplyNow they're crying because they need to buy the dlc to keep playing and mummy won't pay for it.

Where
-
Destiny is far from it, TTK just slapped it with a syringe of awesome, new and fresh, just what it needed
-
4 RepliesMajority haven't bought the taken King and the others have already seen the grind has been made too dam long. Great story content but that super for the Hunter is BS compared to the other two
-
Considering taken King sales have beaten year 1 destiny sales I'd say you are correct.

14 RepliesDestiny won't die, there are many hardcore dedicated fans. I admit the first year was lackluster but I know this game has brilliant potential so I will be with it until the servers are shut down.
