Best scout rifle in TTK?
I love Scouts; it's my thing. But, I don't yet have a legendary or exotic Scout from TTK. I love my Saterine Rapier with firefly; it is awesome but at 170 damage, it's not very fierce. I've got some Scout coming from the gunsmith on arms day, but..... Anybody have any suggestions? And how you picked it up. And perks....
*Edit* Ok. After reading about all of your Scouts and all of your suggestions I'm going to do the following:
Level up the gunsmith to 3.
Do strikes on Mars till I'm sick.
Pledge allegiance to Dead Orbit
*Edit* Wow. Didn't realize there were so many Scout lovers out there. I just assumed hand cannons ruled for most everyone (but me and a small handful of Halo DMR lovers). Thanks for all the info.
*Final Edit* OK. My gunsmith is almost to rank 3 (for Tlaloc). I've pledged allegiance to Dead Orbit and will get my marks tomorrow (for Hung Jury) and I will keep grinding Mars Strikes (for Treads upon stars). Thank you all so much for your recommendations as well as your thoughts; I'm squared away.
That being said, after 1500 plus comments, it's time to let this thread die, let my iPhone rest and get some sleep at night. Seriously, my wife is super pissed that my phone has been making the "ghost" sound 50 times a night. Don't you people need sleep?
OK. Final edit on 8/25/16: Can't believe this came up again. I have been using the Hung Jury (Dead Orbit Scout) for months. It is amazing and at 335 kicks ass. There is nothing better in the game than a single shot to the head, triggering the firefly animation. NOTHING BETTER; prove me wrong.

Man do all the taken war quests with Petra and variks until u get given lost and found for a quest. It rewards u with the boolean gemini an exotic scout. It's quite lovely

3 RepliesBoolean Gemini exotic scout is pretty decent. My favourite legendary so far is the Cabal strike exclusive, can't remember the name. It's worth grinding for imo, two dropped for me without really trying.

I have the scout rifle you'll be getting on armsday and for me it's a keeper.

I've got the Suros one from Armsday, he gave it to me early for some reason, and I like it. It's 280, has great range and does decent damage if you can get precision shots

Dead orbits hung jury is hands down the best. Triple tap plus extended mag and it feels like infinite ammo. Add firefly for the crowd control and it's a monster. Got it up to 293 light now

I've got some vanguard scout with firefly on it. Not sure if it's that rare or available at the vendor or what but it's not bad.

I'm a big scout user, but have been really enjoying An Answering Chord AR too - it's a long-range, slow-firing, hard-hitting monster that handles pretty much like an auto scout.

I got one from a vanguard pack or mission cant remember same stats as vision or fang but it has explosive rounds on main lock

I really like the Cocytus, but the Hung Jury is DO and pretty great as well. Also Jade Rabbit. I like the Scout/Sidearm combination.
