Best scout rifle in TTK?
I love Scouts; it's my thing. But, I don't yet have a legendary or exotic Scout from TTK. I love my Saterine Rapier with firefly; it is awesome but at 170 damage, it's not very fierce. I've got some Scout coming from the gunsmith on arms day, but..... Anybody have any suggestions? And how you picked it up. And perks....
*Edit* Ok. After reading about all of your Scouts and all of your suggestions I'm going to do the following:
Level up the gunsmith to 3.
Do strikes on Mars till I'm sick.
Pledge allegiance to Dead Orbit
*Edit* Wow. Didn't realize there were so many Scout lovers out there. I just assumed hand cannons ruled for most everyone (but me and a small handful of Halo DMR lovers). Thanks for all the info.
*Final Edit* OK. My gunsmith is almost to rank 3 (for Tlaloc). I've pledged allegiance to Dead Orbit and will get my marks tomorrow (for Hung Jury) and I will keep grinding Mars Strikes (for Treads upon stars). Thank you all so much for your recommendations as well as your thoughts; I'm squared away.
That being said, after 1500 plus comments, it's time to let this thread die, let my iPhone rest and get some sleep at night. Seriously, my wife is super pissed that my phone has been making the "ghost" sound 50 times a night. Don't you people need sleep?
OK. Final edit on 8/25/16: Can't believe this came up again. I have been using the Hung Jury (Dead Orbit Scout) for months. It is amazing and at 335 kicks ass. There is nothing better in the game than a single shot to the head, triggering the firefly animation. NOTHING BETTER; prove me wrong.

Boolean Gemini has been pretty fun so far, I've played with it for a few days

I am really enjoying Boolean Gemini, sound is good and the ability perk from precision kills is great too.

Since the armory view is available (or destiny db.net or something) I pick a weapon I like already and look at TTK equivalents - mostly by impact Saterine Rapier has several TTK scouts at impact 48

3 RepliesI really like the omolon one on my Titan as far as legendaries go. It would be a bit better with a reload perk, but it shoots fairly quick and it hits hard. I'm liking Boolean Gemini as far as exotics go. MIDA was in my top 3 of all guns to use prior to TTK and while BG isn't a clear substitute it is still fairly good.

2 RepliesJade Rabbit. Non-precision hits provide bonus damage on your next precision and also return all non-precision hits back to the mag. It is so good considering there are so many different shielded enemies. Shield hits count as non-precision body shots.

3 RepliesJade rabbit, love this gun, my only new exotic. Got hawkmoon and Monte Carlo but jade really does the business. It feels to me like the new fatebringer now the have nerfed HC. There seems to be very little if any drop off. Still figuring out the ammo replen, but I find I'm hitting a boss with 20/25 plus shots before reload. And it hits hard. Some big numbers. I normally end up trailing my fireteam in terms if kills but when I use thus I'm top kills and my number of precision kills has gone through the roof. Running extended at the moment.

I've got a Cocytus SR4 with Firefly and a perk that "may start regenerating health if you make kills while at critical health". Decent rate of fire, mid-range stability, two optics choices (including a long-range scope) that highlight enemies.

The hung jury SR4 is the best one you can buy. Tht firefly extended mag and triple was crucial in holding left side of gogojizzballs and doing dmg.

I have the dead orbit scout by omolan, it is nice, I have the vanguard one it is good too, got Boolean Gemini exotic scout, it is very nice.

I quite like the look of the Thaloc, but Touch of Malice is obviously looking pretty sweet as well. Jade Rabbit seems to be okay, but the low magazine really hurts so I doubt I'd use it much for PvE. For legendaries I heard that the default DO scout rifle is pretty decent. Good stats with firefly on it, going to buy it once I have enough marks.

3 RepliesTreads Upon Stars - Valus Strike exclusive Scout Rifle. Looks and sounds like Vision of Confluence (aka the old best Scout in the game). But it comes with better perks than VoC and while it doesn't get solar damage it does have armour piercing rounds so you can barely notice a difference

Tlaloc it's a warlock gunsmith exotic it's on mine right now An easy one to get is the boolien gemini you to the wolves of Mars quest takes like 20 minutes and you get it it's a pretty good one

The one I enjoy the most is Treads Upon Stars. Its a Mars strike unique.
