Best scout rifle in TTK?
I love Scouts; it's my thing. But, I don't yet have a legendary or exotic Scout from TTK. I love my Saterine Rapier with firefly; it is awesome but at 170 damage, it's not very fierce. I've got some Scout coming from the gunsmith on arms day, but..... Anybody have any suggestions? And how you picked it up. And perks....
*Edit* Ok. After reading about all of your Scouts and all of your suggestions I'm going to do the following:
Level up the gunsmith to 3.
Do strikes on Mars till I'm sick.
Pledge allegiance to Dead Orbit
*Edit* Wow. Didn't realize there were so many Scout lovers out there. I just assumed hand cannons ruled for most everyone (but me and a small handful of Halo DMR lovers). Thanks for all the info.
*Final Edit* OK. My gunsmith is almost to rank 3 (for Tlaloc). I've pledged allegiance to Dead Orbit and will get my marks tomorrow (for Hung Jury) and I will keep grinding Mars Strikes (for Treads upon stars). Thank you all so much for your recommendations as well as your thoughts; I'm squared away.
That being said, after 1500 plus comments, it's time to let this thread die, let my iPhone rest and get some sleep at night. Seriously, my wife is super pissed that my phone has been making the "ghost" sound 50 times a night. Don't you people need sleep?
OK. Final edit on 8/25/16: Can't believe this came up again. I have been using the Hung Jury (Dead Orbit Scout) for months. It is amazing and at 335 kicks ass. There is nothing better in the game than a single shot to the head, triggering the firefly animation. NOTHING BETTER; prove me wrong.

Out of the new ones...I'm liking Boolean Gemini. However I have watched gameplay on jade rabbit and I really want to try it out and compare. Honestly I thought I would be using a lot of auto rifles in PvP but I'm finding that scout rifles (for me at least) are really outperforming some of the other weapons out there

The Boolean Gemini is pretty damn amazing

Hung Jury. Seriously. The weapon is a laser and it comes with Firefly stock. 16 round mag even with max stability.

The one you can buy from dead orbit is great. Max stability, decent mag size and firefly

Thanks for all the info.[/quote] Boolean Gemini... got it as a reward thru a quest line on the Reef. Exotic, and has a agility or armor buff that stacks up to 3 times

I'm longing for a DO Scout. I love my Omolon scout but the DO version is better! The Vanguard Scout on my Titan is also a beast, it has a perk to deal more damage to Hive Wizards.

Jade Rabbit. My friend has it and I have a scout rifle with the same impact and fire rate as it(crucible one) with almost the exact same perks. And I love it so if jade rabbits an exotic version it's what I want most.

5 RepliesI have been using the Boolean Gemini and I like it alright. I am waiting to switch to dead orbit so I can get the Hung Jury for firefly, my favorite scout rifle perk. I have an armsday order in for the Dis 43 and we'll see how it works out. I'd love to get another scout with the same perks as my old Another NITC, Firefly, Outlaw and Red Dot OES. That thing used to shred ads.

Got Tlaloc yesterday... Pretty awesome thus far. However, I think it is exclusive to Warlocks. I also ordered the scout rifle from the Gunsmith... Excited for Wednesday to try it out.
