Best scout rifle in TTK?
I love Scouts; it's my thing. But, I don't yet have a legendary or exotic Scout from TTK. I love my Saterine Rapier with firefly; it is awesome but at 170 damage, it's not very fierce. I've got some Scout coming from the gunsmith on arms day, but..... Anybody have any suggestions? And how you picked it up. And perks....
*Edit* Ok. After reading about all of your Scouts and all of your suggestions I'm going to do the following:
Level up the gunsmith to 3.
Do strikes on Mars till I'm sick.
Pledge allegiance to Dead Orbit
*Edit* Wow. Didn't realize there were so many Scout lovers out there. I just assumed hand cannons ruled for most everyone (but me and a small handful of Halo DMR lovers). Thanks for all the info.
*Final Edit* OK. My gunsmith is almost to rank 3 (for Tlaloc). I've pledged allegiance to Dead Orbit and will get my marks tomorrow (for Hung Jury) and I will keep grinding Mars Strikes (for Treads upon stars). Thank you all so much for your recommendations as well as your thoughts; I'm squared away.
That being said, after 1500 plus comments, it's time to let this thread die, let my iPhone rest and get some sleep at night. Seriously, my wife is super pissed that my phone has been making the "ghost" sound 50 times a night. Don't you people need sleep?
OK. Final edit on 8/25/16: Can't believe this came up again. I have been using the Hung Jury (Dead Orbit Scout) for months. It is amazing and at 335 kicks ass. There is nothing better in the game than a single shot to the head, triggering the firefly animation. NOTHING BETTER; prove me wrong.

8 RepliesThe DO scout rifle. Has triple tap, firefly, hand-laid stock (maxes stability) or extended mag (16-20) and already has extremely high stability, reload speed, and range. Plus the scope highlights enemies similar to Jade Rabbit, it also sounds cool because it's Omolon. I love that gun so much.

I haven't bothered to infuse either yet. This is the first time I can order from the gunsmith, so I'm not sure how it works. I started this week just shy of rep1. After 3 test weapons from Wednesday I hit rep1 and could order 1 weapon. I finished the test weapons then got a ton of those golden age guns to turn in. I hit rep2 and noticed I could order another gun, so I did. What I'm unsure of is if I hit rep3 this week, can I now order 3 each week? And once I pick these 2 guns up tomorrow, can I immediately order 2 more since I'm at rep2 and if I make rep3 this week order a third? If that's how it works, I really like this feature.

Haha someone still has a Rapier. I have a pvp one that dropped exactly the same as the vendor except the grenade cool down instead of firefly

Hung Jury from DO is a great gun. Firefly, extended mag, triple tap(which is a really awesome perk for bosses).

I got it as a drop I'll buy the vendor version later - doing the quest for Boolean now another badass one - the suros one is nice too , just love the sound ..pew pew pew ! Lol

Scouts are my favorite, but the apple of discord was best I had for awhile. Bought the hung jury, and it's stability is amazing! Sadly seems there are not many high impact scouts this expansion
