Best scout rifle in TTK?
I love Scouts; it's my thing. But, I don't yet have a legendary or exotic Scout from TTK. I love my Saterine Rapier with firefly; it is awesome but at 170 damage, it's not very fierce. I've got some Scout coming from the gunsmith on arms day, but..... Anybody have any suggestions? And how you picked it up. And perks....
*Edit* Ok. After reading about all of your Scouts and all of your suggestions I'm going to do the following:
Level up the gunsmith to 3.
Do strikes on Mars till I'm sick.
Pledge allegiance to Dead Orbit
*Edit* Wow. Didn't realize there were so many Scout lovers out there. I just assumed hand cannons ruled for most everyone (but me and a small handful of Halo DMR lovers). Thanks for all the info.
*Final Edit* OK. My gunsmith is almost to rank 3 (for Tlaloc). I've pledged allegiance to Dead Orbit and will get my marks tomorrow (for Hung Jury) and I will keep grinding Mars Strikes (for Treads upon stars). Thank you all so much for your recommendations as well as your thoughts; I'm squared away.
That being said, after 1500 plus comments, it's time to let this thread die, let my iPhone rest and get some sleep at night. Seriously, my wife is super pissed that my phone has been making the "ghost" sound 50 times a night. Don't you people need sleep?
OK. Final edit on 8/25/16: Can't believe this came up again. I have been using the Hung Jury (Dead Orbit Scout) for months. It is amazing and at 335 kicks ass. There is nothing better in the game than a single shot to the head, triggering the firefly animation. NOTHING BETTER; prove me wrong.

I have treads upon stars from the shield brothers. At 297 I love using it plus it's on the higher end of damage

New to the scout bandwagon. Got Hung Jury from DO package and its my go to. The standard on the vendor sells isn't bad either! I may get it just for firefly

If you liked guns like the all powerful [armory]Gheleon's Demise[/armory], the Crucible's [armory]Last Extremity[/armory] has a similar build, with the highest of Impacts (as does the year two Iron Banner SR: [armory]Colovance's Duty[/armory]) The [armory]Suros DIS-43[/armory] (the one you ordered from the Gunsmith) has a very similar stat build to the [armory]Saterienne Rapier[/armory] If you ascribe to the [url=http://i.ytimg.com/vi/91CUC7F37IU/maxresdefault.jpg]Vladof[/url] philosophy, you're gonna want to order up the [armory]Suros DIS-47[/armory] next time the Gunsmith offers up an armsday order for it.

Yep, try and reach rank three with that gunsmith because the Tlaloc is a definite workhorse. Normally it's like any other scout rifle as far as it's impact/rate of fire niche, but when your super is charged it becomes an absolute animal. Fire rate and reload increase by probably 50% which sends your DPS straight up. Combine with Fireborn radiance where you're usually saving your super anyway and you've got a great thing going.

Hung Jury and Boolean Gemini. Have both and am in love. Used to have tread upon stars, but it just doesn't stack up to the Hung Jury

Omolon Tuonela SR4 is a great one thus far got it in a drop Icarus, small bore, single point, grenadier, eye of storm perks.

I have a "the Calling" with firefly from FWC. It's awesome. (But year one :-)). Hoping it makes a comeback this year, as currently FWC isn't selling any scouts and I'll have to buy the DO one if I don't like the special order Suros I placed.
