A Jack of Hearts
It's an Easter egg where Cayde mentions that there was this girl he liked, and the JoS represented her. Nathan Fillion voiced Cayde. Cayde mentions a girl he liked. Nathan Fillion also voiced Buck from Halo 3 ODST. Buck liked Veronica Dare. Coincidence? I think not.
Edit: It was actually a Jack of Hearts.

If you look closely - It's a queen of spades - and appears to be from the deck of the reef! (Purple background with the figure of those cloaked dames that catch the queen as the falls back from that magic)

There's some evidence that cayde fell in love with a scientist back in the days before the collapse it's in the collectors edition stuff and there are transcripts of it online.
