Flayer Mantle Cloak Question?????
Hi all! I was wondering if anybody knew the exact specifics as to how to obtain any of the Flayer Mantle Cloaks? I know the only way I can get one is through the heroic strike Dust Palace, but I already did it for the week and got the guaranteed legendary engram drop. Does that mean I can't get the Flayer Cloak or is the Cloak a true RNG loot drop that I can still get if I already got the weekly rewards for the strike playlist? Just wondering because I NEED THAT CLOAK IN MY LIFE! Thanks

I did the normal mode strike for it on mars (not the vanguard playlist) and used a skeleton key. Got it my first try! I screamed

Does anybody know if you have to do the playlist or can you just do the strike itself?

2 RepliesGrind nightfalls. Did 20 or so got all three cloaks. Plus some duplicates. And 6 or 7 treads upon stars. My clanmates also got several cloaks and treads.

I can't remember which playlist I got mine from but I know I got the Void while on my Titan and the Solar while on my Hunter. I've been doing it now on my Warlock and killed the Arc one last so many times I couldn't even guess how many I've done and the final Arc Mantle won't drop, but in saying that ever since this game started RNG has been an absolute joke and I never get anything I want and when I do get lucky and it drops something good it's a duplicate of something crap I already have had and dismantled.

Got mine today from the vanguard playlist not heroic been grinding the strike a lot and got it eventually also it drops as a purple engram.

2 RepliesFor anyone else who's gotten the mantles, did it drop as an actual item for you, or did it pop as a reward a few seconds late (like emblems and shaders do)? I got the Arc Mantle on my Titan and I'm sure I didn't see a purple drop when the last Flayer died. Every other Strike Legendary I've gotten has been an actual purple item drop.

I've been wanting that for a long time and I have it. Had for 2 days. I got it from 36 strike playlist, I really advise not backing out of any strikes so you get the vanguard buff. The last one you kill will be the one that has the chance of dropping their cloak. (Want solar mantle, save solar one for last. Etc) hope I helped!

I shot gun killed a flayer and it popped up on my screen, I am guessing you either get it upon killing or an engram shoots out

14 RepliesI believe it drops on any. The void one dropped for me in the vanguard lvl 36 one. Get the vanguard streak, and you'll have a really good chance.

1 ReplyYou can do it in the lowest level strikes, or the heroic playlist. The flayer you kill LAST is the color that has a chance to drop

Doesn't have to be heroic... I got the scout rifle (on my hunter) from the valus te arec Mars strike on the regular 36 playlist

1 ReplyI've heard s lot of people claim you don't need to be on heroic. It's just rare and random. I haven't even seen the strike yet, let alone the cloak. Did get the helmet from the sunless cell for my Titan though. That was on the nightfall.

3 RepliesI'm still hoping to get one. I think I've seen every variant version of this strike and I rush in headlon g to make sure the last one alive is the void one. And what do I get? Blue engrams.why can't we just loot them off their dead bodies? Why bungie?!?! Why?!?!!?!
