If you ask me, it's the unrealistic expectations shows, movies, books, and games have set for us. Your crush will always reciprocate your feelings, and when the credits roll around you've managed to woo them, and all past mistakes are forgiven. Yeah, right. I couldn't get a date to save my life in high school, and I was very salty about it. It wasn't until college that I learned I could only get a girlfriend by not looking for one (aka date my best friends). Every time I sought one out, I crashed and burned one way or another.
