Are swords the new nechrochasm?

The exotic one has a lot more versatility. While it's not raid use, neither are shotguns. If use exotic swords for strikes, events, and close range high lv encounters

I said the same thing at first and then gave it a chance after a little while and now it's my preferred heavy weapon

Super useful to clear ads and the arc exotic sword is great in pvp because you have an actual range attack.

Treat it like a shotgun. Use it only when you're near an enemy that needs to get dead quick. Then switch back to primary/secondary and continue the slaughter. Works best for ultras/majors. Don't use it as if it was a primary.

3 RepliesDon't get the exotic versions of the swords. It limits your possibilities of using other exotics. Plus, the legendary version hits like a truck and having that while using another exotic is a good combo.

I have the legendary and exotic swords and I love them. I'm mostly in PvE, but the few times I've ventured into PvP has consistently netted me a few kills, not every match mind you, but occasionally. Considering I'm far from excelling at PvP, I'm happy with those results and again is beyond awesome against PvE content.

More like the sidearm. Introduce a neat new weapon type, that just isn't practical in end game.

I love the swords. IMO a great sniper the boss killer, the sword is the quick "get me out of trouble" card. Love it a lot. I'd really like a lightsaber....

Um...no? My fireteam used swords to take down the daily boss for the Black Spindle exotic. Swords are far from useless.
