King's Fall Raid Guide: Heavy is the Head that Wears the Crown (NOW VISUALLY APPEALING!!!)

My fellow guardians, I have returned from the front lines with an important message: The Taken King must be stopped at all costs. Some of you have already braved the depths of the Dreadnaught and have emerged with your light... altered, but still whole. After convening with those of you who have emerged from that ship of nightmares, I have compiled a list of To-Dos that you should follow to challenge and officially de-throne this so called King. They say "Heavy is the head that wears the crown." We should be so kind as to ease his troublesome burden. Off with his head. At the Tower: Before you begin this trek into darkness, you will need to gather your supplies and muster your strength for a fight far greater than any you have faced before. Be sure to stock up on the essentials: 1. Grab ammo synthesis. A lot of them. I suggest a minimum of 20 each to ensure that you can always resupply if you find yourself out of ammo. 2. Gather your best gear. Your armor should bring you up to a minimum light level of 290 and your weapons should either be exotics or upgraded legendaries. Having the Zhalo Supercell Exotic is a lifesaver in several encounters, but bring something for every situation. 3. Ensure that your team does the same and each has a "Wingman" in mind that they have played with before and know their playstyle. A lot of the work in the septs of the dreadnaught can be broken up into groups of two or three and having this unit cohesion in mind before tackling this challenge is a good idea. Percy Jackson and the Relic Thief First, welcome to the Dreadnaught. To your right you can see the shattered remains of guardians and their ghosts who failed to figure out this puzzle in a timely manner. Don't worry, I won't let you turn out like them, but be sure to understand where we stand alright? This area is pretty simple, there are two relics on either side of the entrance and only one rift to fill. Use both relics to fill the hole for each statue, but remember that each relic MUST be inserted in the same timeframe. The safest way to do this is to just insert them one right after the other. You will need to repeat this process for each of the six statues and each time you complete one, the relics will spawn further and further down the paths and more Taken will spawn. Split up into two teams of three and provide cover for whomever you choose as your relic runner. Each time you pick up a relic, walls of light will spawn that must be destroyed by firearms to allow anyone to pass. Once all statues are satisfied, proceed to the rift and enter when you are ready. So long as you communicate this section is pretty straight forward. Why are you already out of breath? This was the easiest part! My Chest is Really Tight Right Now... So do you still have PTSD attacks from the Vault of Glass jumping puzzle? If so, you might want to take those meds your doctor prescribed cause these next two areas will definitely trigger a few Vietnam-level flashbacks. Part 1: Don't Look Down By that look on your face I can tell you see the giant tombs hanging from the ceiling and swinging rather quickly. Just be sure to take your time, time your jumps, be mindful of the chains, and whatever you do don't look down. Trust me, there is no point. It is pitch black down there. Part 2: Ok, Now You NEED To Look Down Well lookie here, a bunch of Hive Tombships. I wonder why they are all here docking and flying around before disappearing into nothing. Will you have to jump across all of these ships to reach the rest of the raid? Yes. Yes you will. Once again, take your time and watch the ships and remember where you need to jump and which ships lead to dead ends. There is only one, and it is a rather mean ship who promises you raid gear and candy but only drops you into oblivion. Once you get to the end, I think you can figure out the rest, but keep an eye out for a Calcified Fragment in the main chamber before the next zone. After you go up into the tunnel, there is no going back. The Warpriest's Test Okay, now back to serious mode. This next part will open up to a bunch of acolytes praying to a large wall of darkness and three rooms each with a special platform. In the rooms on either side of the main one, you might recognize the Annihilator Totems from the Crota's End Raid. Basically, if you don't keep a guardian on these totems at all times, they will slowly awaken and devour your light, killing you and putting an end to your hunt for the king. However, one does not simply hold an Annihilator Totem as the room is filled with a darkness that will choke out any one foolish enough to step inside without the Deathsinger's Blessing. At the entrance to each room, you will see a smaller platform with a sphere on it. Each sphere will allow you to enter these rooms for a short amount of time to stand on the totems but keep an eye on your timer. When time is up, you will need to swap places with a partner who has the buff as well. So long as they were standing next to you when your timer ran out, the buff should jump from you to them. It's fine. Not like you had feelings for it or anything... Anyway, once you are back in the main chamber, head to the center platform and stand there until the blessing is taken from you to open the large door of darkness the acolytes were praying to before you blew them to pieces. Oh, and these acolytes have a special surprise for you that I'm not going to tell you about, Have fun with that one. Anyway, the moment you start this section, Thralls and Knights will spawn on the other side of the wall and rush each of the totems as well as Wizards spawning above the middle platform to disrupt the ritual. It would be wise to have a team on the door to control the minions and jump up to kill the Wizards from time to time.
This is where I found the Zhalo Supercell to be most useful since it chains arc lightning when shooting targets close together and Double Kills will charge Super Energy and making killing the Knights a lot easier.
I suggest using the new subclasses if you're guarding the door since they each have strong zone control especially when the enemies all funnel out of a single area. Just rinse and repeat till the "Warpriest deems you Worthy" and you get your loot.
