This this one of those Crota things where if you do it too much you're banned?

Cozmo said it's okay.

I think this is a distraction on purpose. You are getting weapons you probably already had in vanilla days. They give us this so we don't realize that they are giving us weapons we should already have since we earned them before taken king. So many new exotics are only received in quest in the taken king I am sure they don't care about other weapons and guns in the loot pool.
-
Did people get banned for the sky watch cave? They added an Easter egg! Maybe draksis' throne will have a metal engram statue.

Edited by Currrrtis Blow: 9/19/2015 8:15:31 AMYes bungee poleese will come taek they're consuls. And what Crota thing are you referring to? Nobody got banned for yanking their Ethernet cord out to make Crota kneel as far as I know. Bungie will probably make them strike bosses only or Xur will sell them less often.
-
Nope, Bungie dun fvk d up. It's all on them.
-
NO. It is a fault in design and people found a way to cheese it. Not a person manipulating the game with hacks or trying to change online gaming. Those are the only things that get you banned. Besides Bungie is weak with their bans. They only temp banned kids that were cheating in Trials when anyone doing so needs a permanent console ban. What sucks is that as the games life goes on I foresee less and less good deals for the player as far as items like the coin boost or what were good ideas because every time they try it a cheese is found and people who don't have the skill, time, or means to do it moan about it.
-
11 RepliesNope. Not our fault they hadn't thought it through. An exploit such as this is not bannable. Only hacking/explicit cheating (eg network manipulation) will result in a ban. Most likely they'll patch either the drop rate (Boo!) OR alter how it works so it only works on strike bosses (Yay!)
-
1 ReplyYes, just like they got banned for loot caving.
-
-
No one will be banned. It's a joke, done intentionally. There is limited exotic RNG weapons this time round for a reason.
-
3 RepliesDid this get fixed or something? Ive used five and seriously did it 15 times with nothing
-
Players shouldn't be getting banned for finding a exploit that the devs failed to see as one before hand. If it was players hacking then that be a different story and would result in a ban
-
1 ReplyCozmo already commented that it's their fault for doing it and to enjoy for now, so no ban but expect it patched by next week.
-
DeeJ and I were just conferring with the Design Team about how Three of Coins is performing in the wild. They are aware that the drop rates are too damn high, but for now this works in your favor. You earned those coins. Have fun spending them. The Nine may be delighted that you're blowing them all now.
-Cozmo

No. Just like people didnt get banned for the loot caves. Same concept.
-
Honestly I think this is a gift from bungie. The old raid cheeses all only lasted awhile and then they patched them. I really think they allow these things to occur for a short while on purpose. The only real drawback if you think about it is later when you have all this gear and have beat everything you'll get bored maybe bc you don't have to grind anymore and it'll be awhile before the next dlc. Bet it won't be long before someone figures out how to cheese the new raid.

Edited by AxCel91: 9/19/2015 4:36:20 AMNo one got banned for loot cave or key farming. Why would they get banned for this? I got 13 new exotics today using this method and it's got me playing this game more than ever. I'm sure bungie is happy about it. I used the coins that I earned. Not like I got these exotics for free.
-
Lol no, this is just another example of the Loot Cave. Bungie knew about it, they didn't really care, and since players can find these kinds of exploits, it just keeps the Design Team on their toes with balancing acts. Just do it until they patch, because I just got 4th Horseman and it really works with me for a shotgun.
-
I honestly think that by this point, too many people would have done it to safely ban. If it were less than 0.5% of the community, that would still be a few thousand people banned. And if they ban people for using the game as bungie designed it (they coded draksis to be an ultra), then that is extremely poor business. The best that they can do is patch either draksis or lower the drop chance on the coins.
-
The exploit used systems and items built into the game, nobody hacked anything and nobody will be banned over it.
-
10 RepliesIf this is to do with those things xur is selling its bullshit. I've used 10 and nothing.
-
It's not an exploit. Bungie can't ban people for their own failings in testing their shit.
-
-
2 RepliesDoes it matter which difficulty you do the mission on?
-
No bungie said enjoy it on a post earlier
-
3 RepliesSaw cozmo reply to a thread detailing cheeses with the 3 of coins. He basically said enjoy it while it lasts so id say they messed up and will own up to it. No banning for this cheese
