That kid in Texas? It was about intimidating Muslims

Some questions: Did they call the bomb squad? Evacuate the school? Put the school in lockdown? Put the bomb/clock in a safe area until they knew for sure it wasn't a bomb? Transport the bomb/clock in a safe or appropriate vehicle? The answer is No to every question. So, they knew it wasn't a bomb. Then why do this? The only answer is that they wanted to intimidate Muslims in their district. Basically tell all of them, in one action: You are not welcome and we are watching everything you do.

    • If the kid was any race they would have reacted the same way. A bomb is a bomb. If they were following stereotypes, it would've been a white kid.

        • When they suspended the kid for chewing his pop tart in the shape of a gun, did they Make sure the safety was on. Make sure the poptart was unloaded Check the ballistics on the poptart to make sure it hadn't been used in previous crimes Check to see if the poptart was stolen The answer to all these questions is NO.

          • This story is like a bullshit salad. There's just so many different types mixed together. You have your typical garden variety Islamophobia, combined with unnecessary and pointless school discipline, unnecessary police action, and then the school refusing to take responsibility for their -blam!-up and lift their suspension. Why not just save time and money and just kick every Muslim student in the balls when they arrive at school?

            • No; it was probably staged by the liberal illuminati media to draw attention away from Trumps political successes

                  • They didn't do all those things because you are right on one point: they knew it wasn't a real bomb. But it wasn't about "intimidating muslims" as you say. What this boils down to is an overzealous zero-tolerance policy in schools. The same reason a big deal was made over his clock was the same reason you see on the news about kids getting expelled or suspended for making a pop tart in the shape of a gun or making their hand in the shape of a gun. Do they think the pop tart gun is a threat? No. Did they think the clock was a threat? No. But they take the same actions as if it was because of the policy of the school district. Another prime example is that 13 year old that is being charged with assault for "stealing a kiss" from another student. Please don't jump to conclusions until you know all the facts and can analyze them with the appropriate intellect.

This is literal autism in its most pure form, I'm sorry, but you need to look past race and look at the situation. You can't do anything but see the kid's skin colour and you call racism. If that device was a bomb and he did kill 20+ people, we would be having the conversation: "Why are the police so stupid? It was a ticking suitcase bomb!".

                        • Now I agree that their reaction does not make much sense in light of your questions, and that something fishy probably was up. Though I still do not see enough evidence to make the logical leap that it was due to racism or the intimidation of Muslims. As others have pointed out, the pop-tart gun case a few years back which equally does not make sense. School shootings combined with the inevitable political correctness and the PATRIOT Act to "fight terrorism" have produced an irrational culture of alarmism in America, which by its very nature, is not always rational.

                          • It's a bs staged story. Look up his face book. He is already a little politician boy way before this happened. He already met republican candidate and his blood runs thick with concervatives. Way too fishy that this kid, practically campaigning already, to be the one that this happened to. Then when he got his game for this event , he used his invitation from Obama to blast him. Seriously way too fishy. Seriously look him up he is a public figure

President Obama invited Mohammed to the White House in regards to the dilemma. It was racist and prejudice of that school; He ended up transferring to another new school. P.S. The news stations here in San Antonio painted the picture really well. No bias.
