Iraqis leave IEDs on the street.. can we just not go out this time and not escort these essential mission critical items? The enemy keeps hitting us with mortars.. Can we just leave? Oop, there goes another mortar... Does our QRF really need to mount up, track them down and kill them? Can't we just ask them to be nice? They keep watching our convoys and setting IEDs to our vehicular intervals... Oh and they're daisy chaining them and setting up ambush points! Oh, and they're killing the IR at checkpoints and stealing their uniforms and hitting us when and where we least expect it. Can't we just give up and go home? They took a village and have recruited the men and are holding the women hostage... Do we really need to call air cover and go in and kick open these doors and clear these homes one by one?
