Quickest way to level light

I can't play destiny till Friday and I want to play the raid before everyone finds out all the tricks and need to know the best way to level up my light Thanks

Do main quests.Then run normal strikes consecutively,once you do 3+ you be getting great loot (make sure to keep equipping higher level items as drops are based off what your current light level is)
