Have you seen these TTK Metacritic user reviews?
They're hilarious. Just seeing all these awful reviews that almost never even talk about the game's content just makes me laugh.
For example, here's a lovely review about that game.

1 ReplyThat's why I rarely look at user ratings. Some people will give a bad review without even trying the product. Before the taken king came out it had like a 2 or 3 out of 5 stars. You would think Sony and Microsoft would be able to find a way to only let people who bought the game rate it.

2 RepliesPersonally, I love the new dlc, all these Jews that can't afford it can go -blam!- off The new quest system is fantastic it's like I'm looking at a borderlands bounty board, there's just so much to do Patrolling on the dreadnaught has made me love patrolling again, one moment your farming chests for runes and hadium, the next your fighting some big ass boss that dropped In from out of nowhere and when you kill him he gives you a key you have to complete objectives to charge then it tells you a riddle which will reveal the location if figure it out, shit just happens all the damn time and it's awesome The new strikes actually have a point to them because they give exclusive gear and each one you run increases your chance for a good reward, the bosses drop the rewards now so you know what you got right away, and all the Dynamic encounters in the strikes are fun as hell I know some retard is gonna tell me to get off Bungies balls or that I must like simple things, what I have to say to you: you must be simple for using such an overused retort what can't come up with something original or just cant make an actual argument against ttk

2 RepliesSee, I usually put a lot of worth in consumer reviews. But not for gaming, because so many idiot kids hop on the hate bandwagon (and to be fair here Im not denying that Bungie have got some things wrong or made unsavoury decisions) that consumer reviews get skewed. Ergo I try a game out for myself and make up my own mind. Im reluctant to trust professional reviews as my tastes/opinion may not match theirs, or their review may have been greased with hype money. I cant trust user reviews (unless they are legion and overwhelmingly positive) so all I can do is get hands-on experience :(
