Which sword damage type did you pick? and why?
Just curious to see what everyone picked, i'm almost ready to get mine, but I am having trouble deciding what damage type to get so just wanted to gather a few general opinions from everyone :)

The first sword I got was the void sword, mainly because I was a nightstalker hunter. But eventually I grew to dislike the design of the blade, not that it's a bad weapon just he design for me is not that great. Then I got the arc sword because in my opinion that blade is the best out of the three exotics, and I still use it to this day, sure my the fact of using an arc weapon with a mainly void use hunter (which is my main) makes me a little ocd, it's a small price to pay for ascetics. As much as I want to get the solar sword, after the two week process of trying to get the arc sword and finally getting it through dumb luck I don't want to go through a session of frustration seeing my target warden dying before the boss is even at half health.

Ehh I chose Arc cuz it was the only one I could afford at the time lol. I still have to get Void and Solar tho...;-;

My friend said he hasn't seen anyone with the arc one yet. So I grabbed it.

Raze lighter has the highest DPS in the game, zero reload, and the equivalent to 13+ gjallarhorn shots in terms of ammo. Oh and there's the whole solar being far and away the best element in the game.

Solar because uppercut destroys yellow bar enemies like they're dregs

Void first. I'm on Solar now. Waiting for tomorrow to do the last part. Void because it was on par with solar PLUS it could deal the same damage to multiple enemies at once AND you're invincible during the animation.

Arc first for the ranged attack but since i got all three i find myself using dark drinker a lot because it's a lot of fun

4 RepliesI got Void because Sunsinger and Stormcaller are the better Warlock classes in PvE, so it rounded my damage types out nicely.

I chose solar because I had zhalo and I had a void sidearm (yeah a sidearm) and it was the only thing I needed

3 RepliesI picked arc cuz of the projectile thingy the exotic one has. I'm probably not going to get it for a while because of the PvP portion of the quest. I kinda wish I took the fire sword because it looks so damn cool!

1 ReplySolar for hunter- can go invisible then finish off an enemy quick with put dying Void for warlock- can easily get an over shield so hell/shell be able to take a hit while doing a lot of damage Arc for titan- cant get an over shield with out a kill and bubble won't move so can use the sword while near his bubble to do lots of damage from far away

I have all 3. While the arc gives range, there is a delay in dealing damage. Void is pretty good, spinning vortex good for clearing enemies too close for comfort, however use it sparingly as it eats up hvy ammo quick. My personal favorite is solar, great hvy attack, the uppercut, which is awesome taking out most yellow bar enemies in 2 swipes and red bar enemies in 1 !!!!
