Gives you rep. There is more than one type of weapon found. I found the fusion. Turned it in for rep. A little bit later I hit rank 2 gunsmith, played a bit, went back to the tower and received a quest from him for a fusion rifle. My friend turned in a sniper rifle, same thing, played a bit, hit rank two, played a bit more, got the quest for a sniper rifle. Weapons that I've seen come out 280. TL;DR Grants rep, and eventual quest line for whatever you turned in if you are rank 2 or above with the gunsmith. Rng on locations and activities. At least that's what I've noticed.

2 RepliesAll its for is leveling the gunsmith anyone who says otherwise is wrong. However the gunsmith may eventually give us the quest for that once we hit a certain level cuz no one has any idea about it yet and I guessing it's cuz it's pretty much impossible to get passed rank 2 as of right now with gunsmith

I got excited, then handed it to the gunsmith and got +200 rep. I was thoroughly disappointed.

As others mention, those are Pre-Collapse relics, most tied to Rasputin in one way or the other that you can turn to the Gunsmith for some backstory on what exactly they were used for and some rep.

7 RepliesIve gotten a couple, ive heard a few things. Its for the sleeper simulant (false), it just levels up gunsmith, and when you get a certain amount of pieces the gunsmith builds you the gun. Not sure what to believe, im going with number 3 right now
