Just FYI, each Xbox 360 has its own physical copy of the original Destiny game disc.
In addition, the Xbox Live Gold account that I used to purchase TTK digitally is the same account that I used to purchase the Destiny Expansion Pass (TDB & HOW) when it became available. The fix I described above is the same fix I applied to get the expansion pass to work. The only difference previously was that I only needed to apply the fix to the Xbox 360 on which I did not make the purchase. That's what lead to my confusion earlier today.
