Hey there,
As a general rule, players will only be able to access the content that they own the license for. Features like “Gameshare” are not supported by Bungie. This is subject to Platform policy. Here are some helpful links to learn about how content is shared across the different platforms on which you can play Destiny.

Found the fix for this issue. You have to go into the games and apps>Menu on the game itself> Manage game> Ready to install. Rise of Iron and Taken King are listed in there install and restart your game and you should get all the DLC your looking for!
-
how do you do this? i dont know where to go to find "games and apps"

Of all the methods in this thread, this is the only one that worked. Thank you

Having recently purchased my 5th copy of Destiny (PS3, XBox 360, XBox One plus addons), I'm a little peeved to discover that Bungie now expects me to purchase a 6th copy so that my teenage son can play on the same XBox One where I have it installed and working with all DLC... I have read several hundred messages dating from August and September 2015 where others have had the same issue and your response seems to be that you don't allow GameSharing. It's a little odd that in the same answer, you provide a link to Microsoft's usage policy which states that games installed on a "home" XBox will be able to share any games or DLC purchased from the store (http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/games/my-home-xbox) I'm looking forward to an email from yourselves in which you point out that your policy is not to screw your loyal customers but that I have somehow got this wrong. I would appreciated detailed instructions on how both my son and I can enjoy the same game on the same console without having to purchase a 6th copy.

Edited by Yocoa: 9/20/2016 11:21:16 PM"What the -blam!-ing hell are you, you great gangly -blam!- knuckle twat greasy haired -blam!- bag -blam!- you!" No but seriously, the way you have it set so only the user the bought it can play it is stupidly outrageous, honestly, you're actually turning people off from buying you DLC! What a stupid move on your part! You'd actually be making more money if every user on the SAME console could play it, people wouldn't be complaning and they'd be a lot more happier! Stop being the money whores that you're and fix this! Listen to your community that you've created, like seriously great game but this has turned people off and you can only blame yourselves for this :( (Props to you if you know that quote is from! :P) EDIT: Guess Bungy has a filter, FeelsBadMan :(

this is bull shit, so i can buy the disk and have no problem, but once i buy it online, nope your brother cant play, and your family cant play.

Is this fixed ? my kids can't play TTK because i bought it with my own account ... i made sure the Xbox i bought it was my Home Xbox before purchasing the extention but it's not working ... any other games works no problem ... but not Destiny and TTK ... it's strange , they can play the based game but no DLC ...

Ok seriously, if bungie hates game sharing why not make it only compatible on the xbox it was redeamed on why screw us all over and steal our money you already did that by not making it backwards compatible, I love destiny but seriously fix this because i am seriously thinking about quitting because my dad , my brother, and i all play it so you are stealin 120 that we are considerate in giving you.

Edited by BobFlemingUK: 8/9/2016 6:20:56 PMHi Bungie, I've bought Destiny Legendary Edition (Xbox One) for my son through my xbox account (as he has no credit card). He has completed the main story and cannot access The Taken King. I don't play the game, had never logged into the game until trying to work out why he can't access the DLC. The DLC is available in my profile but not his. How do I make the content available to him (even if that means making it unavailable to my profile - although I think that its despicable that content you purchase is not available to everyone on a single device) If this cannot be done, I'll be seeking a refund as I have no interest in this game - so having the content 'stuck' in my profile is pointless Thanks in advance
-
Why does it say when you buy the taken King that all accounts on a xbox one can share it but it doesn't do it. And u guys say it was a glitch that you was working on it. But the glitch where you switch profiles to get it was fixed with an error code. You can fix a glitch that makes it where you can get more money but you can't fix a so called glitch that makes it to where it does what you say it does

Yup I agree with most in saying what total and utter BS. I got excited when my son bought it, waited a week to finally hop onto the console to play destiny once again, only to get boned big time.. I've been playing since the release and like some I stopped because of a PS 4 but now I can't even enjoy it like I use to >o| so far we invested over $300 for your bullshit Bungee! I'm f-ing done with you! You can take your next DLC and ram it... Totally disappointed with you, what a f-ing waste of money. I'm done!!! >o|

I bought the taken king on the 360 do I have to buy it again on the xbox one now? Because I can't access it

You should be ashamed of yourselves. The DLC should be available to anyone using the console it has been downloaded on. I won't be purchasing any more of your games or DLC. As has been pointed out already, Xbox One "Platform Policy", which you even linked to, clearly states "Share games and downloadable content purchased from the Store with anyone else who signs in on your console. You can even share games downloaded as part of a subscription." Itching for a class action lawsuit?

Dear Bungie, I am 34 years old. I have not owned a gaming console since the original Playstation, but to have an activity we could enjoy together I purchased a PS4 for my 7 & 9 year old sons. My sons have become avid gamers and we now enjoy family time playing through various games together. Recently I purchased a disc copy of Destiny Taken King with a code to redeem the DLC. Your policy that prevents them from accessing the DLC on their profiles is outrageous. Sure I could purchase the content for both of them, it's not a matter of price or finances, it's a matter of principles. Your greed will cost you in the end. We have grown to enjoy gaming as a family activity and will continue to purchase games, but I will not purchase another product produced by you or in association with you. I know I am only one customer but if you continue to alienate people like me, you won't have the revenue to keep the utility bill paid much less produce another game. And by the way, your smart a** answer to send me a link to Sony so I can read an owners manual only adds insult to injury.

Both me and my cousin's account purchased The Taken King. I downloaded my profile on his Xbox 360, but it will only let his profile play Taken King. Is there any way to restore the purchase? Help pleeeease.

MONEY GRABING PIGS WHY NO WONDER DESTINY IS DIEING LET US DOWNLOAD TAKEN KING OFF ARE FRIENDS YOU MONEY GRABING PIGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then why was gameshare supported all the way untill you (greedy bullies at bungie who obviously dont care who they're taking advantage of) put out the expansion that cost as much as the original game combine with all the expansions up until that point in time?! So when did bungie stop supporting gameshare then? Funny how that wasn't advertised. I see that you also want add far as talking split screen co-op off of halo. You know the game that was famous for its split screen co-op, the one that made you. Good luck staying in business when all you do is blatantly rob your customers and answer for it with a "that's how it is all of the sudden".

i agree

Okay, so is this still the case, where only the account that activated Destiny TTK can play it and not other accounts on the console? I bought this for my son for Christmas, but I activated TTK on my account, not knowing that it could not be used by all accounts on the console. Now, my son cannot play the game that I bought for him, unless he uses my profile. If this is the case, you can believe this is the last Bungie game I will ever buy! This is on the XBOX 360

i personally am not a very big fan of this game i didnt even buy it originally and my brother in law figured its a game we could play together so he purchased and we both were able to play it when ps4 had no other titles and tbh i did have some fun while playing it though we never beat the story or anything and completely refused to buy any continuation or expansion passes as the game wasn't really fun enough to justify such expensive purchases and add-ons we just stopped playing it,however the price has gone down greatly and it does end up on the deals section for a good price of 30 bucks and i would buy all the dlc for that price but if i cant share them with him i don't really want it or need it because it wasn't worth original asking price originally and doesn't seem worth it now considering i would have to purchase it and then my brother in law would have to purchase it as well, and just about every game and dlc that has come out for ps4 doesn't require both people to purchase a game or its content its free and its kind of a sad thing tbh because i was eager to give it a shot but again its just not worth both of are money especially when again all other games and content can be shared and this just kinda feels like a real scummy thing to incorporate into the content,it would seem unnecessary if you didn't stop to think about how much more money y'all would make with a stipulation like this its a smart way to scrounge more revenue but it feels wrong as hell and it seems like i probably will never play this game again or any other sequels for that matter for they will probably be disingenuous cash grabs.

Awesome. Now I have to spend $40 to get back in after I played this long of TTK? Are you serious? I'm done with you bungie.
