Above says it all. I wont be able to get on till about 12 hours from now. If anyone can confirm this thank you.
Edit#1. Thanks replys. I expected to be locked out of "new" content but not partially locked out of content i paid for ex: crucible playlist.
Edit#2..content we paid for should be the same as when we paid for it. Bungie is very wrong by doing this. Ex: crucible playlist now being a random list. That is not what we paid for.
Edit#3 Thanks to all for kind feedback. After researching and seeing the new grind i fully decided not to get ttk. To those guardians who enjoy you guys rock and thanks for feedback. I am not bashing destiny but i wont feed the beast(bungievision) when i know sooner or later they will wipe all my grind again. I still play pvp in classic. Pvp is more balanced than ever at this point and time which is great for me because i am 1st a pvp player. Good luck guardians.
Edit#3.. this post is old guys. I put up the day ttk came out. No need to reply. Thank you. I decided not to buy ttk after all. To those he did enjoy.

10 RepliesIf you don't buy DLC your -blam!-ed! Personally I don't have the DLC and by all intensive purposes, the game is dead!
-
3 RepliesDon't fret your not missing anything you haven't already spent miserable months doing
-
1 ReplyIf you buy it I can guarantee you will be Super impressed. TTK is so damn good. It is officially the most downloaded game on day 1, on Playstation network.
-
Ya just refer to that big comment. I recommend you get the TTK though.
-
2 RepliesThe playlist consolidation ain't all bad. And I'll say this -- TTK is worth it (and the year leading up to it)
-
1 ReplyYou need ttk man! It's the best thing to happen to destiny
-
1 ReplyTTK is amazing. much better then the original game.

You have not had any missions, strikes, raids, or weapons taken away from you that you have purchased. You can still play all the TDB missions/strikes, HoW missions/strikes and you can certainly still play the vanilla missions/strikes. The same goes for the crucible. You still have every right to play the maps that you have already paid for in the classic playlists in the crucible. The only thing you have been locked out of is new endgame content like Nightfalls, Weeklies, Raid etc etc. That is not content that you bought that is a FEATURE of the game. A feature that centers around the latest content. When you bought TDB you bought the strikes, missions, gear etc etc and the Nightfall then took that content and featured it every week. Now that TTK is the latest content the Nightfall now features THAT content. So no you don't get to do the Nightfall because the Nightfall features new content. Content that you have not paid for. So please stop acting as if Bungie came into your game and pulled all of the missions and gear from your bleeding fingers and pissed on your Ghost. This is how expansion based games have operated for YEARS now. The new expansion comes out with new gear, new missions, and a new level cap. That new content is then featured front and center in every way and the old content is pushed off to the side. WoW, Diablo, SWTOR etc etc have followed this design for years. This is not new and this not shocking. They did it for TDB and they did it for HoW, but they did it on a smaller scale because they were smaller packages. TTK is essentially Destiny 1 part 2. So of course its impact on the day to day functionality of the game is gonna be MUCH more noticeable and much more profound. You paid for content. You got that content. You still have that content. You can still play that content. Features such as the endgame activities however will always be geared toward the latest content and if you don't have that content then you obviouslly cannot participate in the features that use that new content. The same goes for the levelcap as well. You paid for the level-cap to be increased in each of the new DLC's that came out because they were TIED to that content and you need that gear in order to REACH that new cap. They have now raised it again and have tied that cap to the new gear. Gear you don't have access to because you have not paid for it yet. So of COURSE the Vendors are going to be selling the latest and greatest gear. Do you honestly think that they should still be selling old level Vanilla gear like Shadow Price or The Devil You Know even though its been outclassed ages ago? I understand that you are upset that your options are limited now because the content you bought is no longer featured, but don't sit their and claim that it is no longer there or that you no longer have access to it. Because it is and you do.
42 RepliesThere will be no need to be more than level 34 if you don't have TTK. There is no point.
-
Bungie may change, modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Program at any time. Bungie may also impose limits on certain features or restrict your access to parts or all of the Program without notice or liability. You have no interest, monetary or otherwise, in any feature or content contained in the Program.
-
6 Repliesyep and we also get locked out of content we already paid for
-
Yyou are not locked out of crucible. There is an option for year one maps only.
-
2 RepliesI buy it so they keep on making me more Destiny and pray that one day it will be the game we have all dreamed it to be... 5 years later... Destiny IV
-
6 RepliesIf you don't buy the taken king you really don't need to be any higher than level 34
-
1 ReplyI don't understand why anyone would still be playing the vanilla version of the game. What could you possiblly get out of it if your not doing new stuff?
-
5 RepliesWe paid for the base game modes. Not the special event game modes. So you still have basic crucible and basic planets. Now I didn't buy it yet, but I understand their business models. It's An evolving game. To be apart of the evolution you must ante up
-
2 RepliesYou want new content but refuse to pay for it.
-
Yes deal with it
-
For the foreseeable future? Yes. Will they eventually release the level cap to match TTK but keep the classes and missions locked out? I don't see why not but at least for now, it's for paying players only.
-
14 RepliesYup which is why I'm quitting this cash grab.
-
I know when that hotline bling...
-
Level 40 is part of the expansion. How hard is that to understand?
-
Can confirm, turned in 8 commendations and did all the Vanguard bounties and didn't even budge.
-
10 RepliesMaybe you should buy single player games from now on. The majority of us are glad that Bungie isn't holding the game back for people like you that want to keep playing the same old content.
-
30 RepliesEdited by badhorse2000: 9/15/2015 11:24:25 AMI bought TTK because I really enjoy this game, but I must emphatically agree that this forced obsolescence is a terrible precedent to set. No other non-subscription game has ever done this before. Activision is basically taking away something a person bought only a year ago. I feel a lot of guilt and loathing for giving this despicable publisher my money.
