The reason why I say this is because I have just recently gotten good at pvp, and many a time I have had 10+ kills and no deaths but the game ends due to mercy rule. I have never yet gone unbroken but I have gotten close multiple times due to the mercy rule ending the game early. Mercy rule is pretty pointless anyways since it should be the enemy's fault whether or not they are doing bad and they can choose whether or not to leave if they are doing bad. Plus, what's gonna happen with trials? Is there going to be mercy rule in that? What if someone was losing 4-0 and they could have made a comeback to go flawless but mercy rule ended the game early, what then? If you just think to yourself "well we could just take mercy rule out of trials" then why don't you take it out of crucible in general? If 1 game mode can go without it, the others can too. Does anyone else agree with me? Please take this into consideration Bungie.

Edited by Fatal AssaultXx: 4/22/2016 10:29:42 PMI agree remove mercy rule. I cant ever get a unbroken like i used to anymore its even more rare to get 30 kills now unless you are playing solo and having mercy rule just makes pvp slow and boring now.

You like being behind 10k points in rift? I know I sure as hell don't.

Bungie has a lot of evidence of players quitting because they are getting hammered. Players who quit do not get rewards, they get tired of being blown out by full teams, and they don't play crucible (like MANY players). Is it perfect? Nope. Judging by the comments here, there is some tweeking that could happen to when it kicks in to allow for some measure of comeback. I haven't had a chance to dive into Crucible yet. Hopefully I'll have some time so I can experience it for myself. When I did do some Crucible, I saw lots of folks quit pretty early due to going down fast versus very skilled players. I'd rather it end faster, allow me my rep and random rewards, and then get a chance to join another game faster than draw out brutal losses to the full time duration.

Ive never seen the meecy rule come into effect. And sometimes i wished it did. I just do the daily crucible for marks, i want it to end asap

More than likely no one is coming back from a 10k deficit unless maybe it's rift. I also believe they said mercy rule will not apply to trials or elimination type game mode.

I hate mercy rule even if im winning
-
It's awesome because rather than being 2000 to 18000 and having to wait until the games over is not worth the time. I'd rather end it early
-
People leaving games is why we need the mercy rule. Way too many people leave games for various reasons, the other team get an advantage, starts to dominate, more leave, then the match is completely one sided.

1 ReplyEdited by 1: 9/18/2015 11:00:07 AMWhat's the point in a mercy rule anyways? If you're getting destroyed then just leave the game. Destiny has now become so casual that it's helping out people who can't even find the quit button. Thanks for catering another game towards noobs even more, noobs.

Edited by Reap200: 9/18/2015 10:48:55 AMi wouldnt say it NEEDS to be removed, but it wouldnt be a bad thing to remove it

It said that trials wouldn't be affected when they talked bout the mercy rule a few weeks ago. And if you're getting mercied every time you should either A) get a new team if you play with specific people and you care that much or B) deal with it. If you're getting mercied literally almost every time like you make it sound then it's probably not a coincidence

2 RepliesI went 24-0 in a game of of rift yesterday on frontier... The game ended early because of mercy rule... I turned my Xbox off and walked away, I was angry.

1 ReplyTHE CRUCIBLE IS NO PLACE FOR MERCY!
-
5 RepliesYou probably wouldn't have gotten it anyway.

They said mercy doesn't apply to Osiris if you read the post you would know that and it makes it so people don't have to leave and rage quit

Trials won't have the mercy rule and neither will elimination
-
Can you read? Bungie has stated many times mercy rule will not be active in competitive gamemodes such as Trials or Osiris and Iron Banner
-
I think it needs to be adjusted for sure.

Youre below average, but ok
