Factions added some of the better shaders in the game and even in the later part of last year we knew that there were going to be exotic class items for each of the factions and to some that sounded more appealing than getting packages from Vanguard and Crucible that didn't have a chance of dropping any cool shaders. People that are complaining about not getting the quest line shouldn't even be bitching in the first place considering it gives you an exotic item and not any extra missions or other content.
