I agree, it's terrible that people are abusing the code system this way and unfortunately there are several ways to look at it as people on the forum have said. At this point there isn't much you can really do. It has happened to me a while ago with a new game I bought. Someone working at the store opened the game, used the promo codes that came with it, put them back, and revealed the game (it's easy to reveal a game if you know what you are doing). It really sucks and is cheating as far as I am concerned. It's abusing the code system and screwing people over who legitimately bought their codes. Personally I think no matter what the promotion is, this kind of thing would have still happened. I can't even physically drink redbull since it has a risk of seriously hurting me. I wish they did this with something else. So a friend gave me one code off of one of his cans so that I could at least be a part of it. The real question is, how much focused light do you need. Do you really need as many codes as possible? I have only one. (Not saying the OP is complaining, I am seriously not sure how many you need). I feel the people with 50-100 focused light are over doing it. Unless of course they legitimately drank 50-100 redbull cans.... Forgive my ignorance the promotion came out when I was overseas for two months.
