You have maybe heard of this before but hear me out again... In The Speaker room there are [b]6[/b] orbs that glow on concave platforms and one platform by the Speaker that is open, I'm not including the one slightly covered by the sketching table. We all know you guys at Bungie like that [b]7[/b] and I can't help to think that Purple Orb is number 7 and it just floats in the right way that it could settle right on that 7th platform and [i]possibly[/i] unlock some sort of secret you puzzle masters. Some backing to my theory is by what the speaker says: [quote]"Even an ember still burns if it can still be stoked."[/quote] My interpretation of this in relation to the Orb is that when you bump/push the orb it lights up, "Ember still burns if stroked(pushed)" [quote]"If they find it, can they contain it?"[/quote] If you find the orb can you control it well enough? [quote]"It is dim, but it can be wielded... shaped."[/quote] The orb is a dim purple that can be moved, a sphere. [quote]"It belongs in hands as capable as yours. Wield it well."[/quote] We are capable of doing this, move [i]IT[/i] well. [quote]"Not Light, but not darkness. Something else?"[/quote] It's not light in color but not dark, the orb is very dark purple even with black around the circumference when looking directly at the orb. [quote]"Whatever hides in plain sight is making its own plans."[/quote] It's a secret in plain sight. And Lastly: [quote]"If only the Nine would help."[/quote] Recently in the Tower right at spawn on the pillar to the left a symbol has shown up which has IX "the nine", its purple like the orb, it points toward the North Tower (the speaker room), and even has a sphere with the arrow on it. Edit1: Even the Speakers emblem has 7 spheres/circles/orbs in it. [b]I might just be crazy but that Orb is the 7th orb that should be in that room somehow, this is purely theory but in all honesty if you, Bungie, could give me a clue that I'm on to something that would be great.
