Giving class items defense values was a mistake
We all want to look different. Haven't you seen all the posts and bumps regarding transmogrification? It should be a heavy indication that people want their character to be their own.
Now, we're all pretty much forced into wearing even the same cloaks, bonds, and marks for their light value and not because we like the appearance.
Your class item factoring into your overall light score was a huge mistake. Thoughts?

What this guy is saying is true. Those little extra pieces gave us our ability to really flavor the Guardians. Just the right shader and other piece to express our engagement state. Lore and all from the fall to our current call. Maybe give the number to items availing where our faction badges appear? Certain slots for certain performance badge types with maybe some other might modifier to the three base skills? (Strength, etc.)
