Admits he buys 1/4th of subscription to give away the remainder for free & gets mad when he can't illegally distribute content.
Wow.

I see nothing wrong with it. People buy games all the time that come with free maps and the code is in the box. They give the code to a friend because they don't care to play the map. For instance with COD and Nuketown I give the code away to friends all the time. Who cares.
-
This^
-
If they intended on allowing their content to be distributed like that they would not charge extra for the individual dlc's... They would also not make it one code. This is both strategic and smart on the developers side.
-
Nope is another money grab, from a greedy developer!
-
I agree since it is only one code. Either he gives away all or nothing.
-
Exactly.
-
Actually, he already bought the base game+TDB+HOW, so what he's saying is that he purchased the content again for his friend. As for the game disc, product is one's to do with what one wishes. His plan wasn't illegal at all.
-
This^ Too many people don't understand the facts on the forums because they are Bungie fanboys lol

If they intended on allowing their content to be distributed like that they would not charge extra for the individual dlc's... They would also not make it one code. This is both strategic and smart on the developers side. The only fact here is you did not do your homework. In the real life you can't just break apart someone's work because it's yours, if they allow you to that's another thing but in this case it is not.

I smell a fanboy!!

-
I think you were looking for financially responsible* it's okay you will learn English one day!
-
No I was dumbing it down so you could understand it. See it worked!!!
-
You mean *simplifying? Man you are dense.
-
And again, I have proven my point. Hahahahahahahahahahah
-
You have no point. Ignorance must be bliss for you!

Edited by CSteeze: 9/13/2015 10:31:36 AMIt's all or nothing, there's an inherent extra charge for buying portions individually. You can't just buy an entire play and give away half. the playwright would have to allow you to be able to distribute his/her content if this was the case which it is not.
-
True, but the plan still wasn't illegal. Bungie/Activision got paid for Destiny, TDB, and HOW twice from OP, so 2 people ought to have access to it. Like buying 2 copies of a record.
-
Not true. He bought 1 full copy and one partial one. He used a portion of the second full copy to supplement what he doesn't have with the intent on giving away the other 3/4ths of it. This is not permitted since the purchase of individual portions is a higher price. Sucks he was stupid enough to buy and not check if he could split up the copies he had, there's no need for a big long cry post about it tho. & yes if he succeeded in dividing up content that was not meant to be divided (unless bought separate at a higher price) it would be a violation of how the content is distributed and would/could have legal ramifications.
-
I suppose that's true, with the price difference and all.
