The team ran as fast as we could from the sea of red behind us. "Where did they all come from?!" Barked Sri who had trouble keeping up along with Angelica, who was half stumbling, half hanging on to me. "Must noticed the clash between Rex and Kate!" Laurentine yelled, he was hopping from branch to branch above us to provide scout. "Oh wonderful!" Yelled Sri. "Alfred bring up a map of this section!" Alfred popped up infront of her and showed a 3D map of the place. "There's a straight clearing up ahead! We need to avoid it!" Our radar light up on both sides in response. "Not a possibility anymore!" Laurentine said. "They are bottlenecking us!" He fired a quick shot into the tree line to deter unwanted guests. "Great.... Fine Josiah, place a Ward of Dawn smack center, we will use it to our advantage!" "Roger!" I yelled. Soon we burst through the clearing. It was a pretty round circle of flat grassland that was way out of place in the jungle that we just left. I placed the bubble in the center and everyone crowded in. We panted as we looked at the clearing. The heads of several Guardians began to appear all around and more continued to show. The edges of the radar were red with the telltale sign of death. "Well this is great!" Barked Amelia. "Now we are screwed!" Suddenly Charles popped up infront of me. "Message for ya sir!" He said as he plopped to the ground like he was injured. I rolled my eyes and the audio played. "Greetings Guardians." It was the voice of Kyle Busch. "You have done well so far, but now here comes a test that's gonna be a little trickier." Amelia barked at the comms. "Are you kidding me?! This is impossible!" The voice ignored her comment and continued. "Right now every other student is against you and is either here or on the way here. Your job is to win. Think of this as a team exercise... except you are on the verge of death and the brink of utter chaos." "Oh charming. What's are reward for winning?" Said Charles as he floated up next to me again. "The satisfaction of winning." "Oh ok... sounds reasonable." "But how are we going to do this?! It's near impossible!" Barked Sri. "You Guardians have the resolve and the wits. Try to impress me. You will land a good first assignment if you do." The message chuckled a bit. "Why don't I like this?..." I said. "Well either way, enjoy! Oh and one more thing. Supers charge really fast in this area." The message ended. We stood quietly digesting what he just said. "Does he mean... our supers?... or... all supers?..." Angelica asked quietly. The roar of the crowd around us answered that question. I checked my energy. "I'm almost charged again and my bubbles out in the next ten seconds." Everyone stood quietly for a moment. Sri looked at all of us. "We need to think of something quick." Amelia cracked her knuckles. "Well I know what I'm doing." She took squatted and placed one hand flat on the ground. The other was raised up like a hammer. She brought it down quickly but it didn't hit the ground. Lightning crackled from the sky to activate a super but it didn't arch down and soon a little storm cloud began to form. She brought her fist down again, then again, then again. I stared at Amelia as she preformed the old technique of Hephaestus, 'the Lightning Forge.' I replaced my Ward of Dawn as the previous one gave out. "That's a risky move! Other Titans can access that power!" "Then keep them from doing so!" She barked as her blows became slightly faster. Sri began to seem flustered. "Don't do rash things! We need to think!" "Get your panties out of a wad School girl and protect me!" Sri tightened her fist and began to argue back but Guardians began to push forward. Some Hunter and some Titans. "We need cover on both sides! Rex and Laurentine..." I began. "No problem." Rex produced a sniper rifle and stuck it slightly out of the bubble. He began picking off Hunters first. Laurentine took the other side and did the same. Sri looked from side to side. She wasn't thinking clearly. "This... isn't...." I sat down and tried to summon the void once more. "Sri, calm down and think..." I held my hands up and concentrated on my Ward. Once a Ward is placed it cannot be moved, unless you move the place that it is fixated to. Sri paused and looked around us. She exhaled and looked at Angelica. "We need you to point out when people are producing supers and try to help Rex and Laurentine stop the oncoming Guardians." Angelica flinched but nodded. "I'll try." Her auto rifle formed in hand and she ran to Laurentine's side. Sri produced void spheres. "Josiah, you think you can change the properties of your next Ward?" "Not by much on my own." She placed her hands on my back and let the void flow into me. My body began to feel numb and frozen, but powerful. I shivered and let the current Ward drop. My possibilities were endless, my thoughts were infinite, but I knew what I wanted to do. I created a new dome but it was made of hexagonal pieces that I could rotate and maneuver at will. I set several recurring patterns on Rex's side and payed attention to Laurentine's side. The Weapons of Light buff began to wash over them and give them more power. "Alright guys." I said.
