Weapon testing in Crucible is retarded.
It's not fun, just frustrating and ruins everyone else's game.
What a stupid -blam!-ing idea Bungie.
Edit: referring to the fusion, which is great fun in Pve, sniper is horrible in Pvp. Easy to get kills, ruins everyone else's game.
And yes I don't play much PVP, just IB.
Edit: never said it was hard to do testing. In typical Forum fashion no one bothers to get the point of the post.
What I'm saying is this. Crucible is about teamwork trying to do your best to get your team a win. Not individuals going in with the sole purpose of getting gun rep and not caring about the match. Remember when the Thorn bounty was hot? How many people camped out and were just looking for void kills? Ruining games for players wanting a win? I did it myself and I always felt it went against the purpose of the game.
Bungie seems to actively encourage bad gameplay, this is another example of it. And no I don't think it's difficult to do, just retarded within the context of what Crucible is supposed to be about. Teamwork.
Edit2: most of you seem incapable of reading the OP.
It's not about the quality of the weapon, it's not about completing the testing.

So to all you trolls and teenagers who tried to call me out as a PVP scrub. Firstly I do NOT play very much PVP.

I got it done in 2 games 9 kills in the first and finished it up in the second

I think the weapon testing is a nice addition to the game. It gives an incentive for more people to go and try pvp

I've been doing great with the fusion rifle. You just compensate it's slow charge rate with a pre charge

I'm horrible at crucible only have all time kd of 0.8. Really suck with snipers and fusions as well. With all this against me I still finished both guns in about 5 matches. Quiet crying and man up -blam!-ing babies.

I think it's a good way to get people to try new weapons. I'm terrible at sniping, but I was able to get it done. To me it was extremely satisfying whenever I would get just one sniper kill in a match.

1 ReplyI like the idea as it brings additional weapon variety into the crucible. Did the fusion rifle on one character, but won't bother with it for the other two. Charge time is horrible; hip fireing worked well, though. I prefer the Omolon sniper; quickly aiming and fireing.

I hate the fusion rifle too. I feel like there is no point when I could just use a shotgun. The shotgun is like the close range "oh, shit" button. I only seem to get people who are not paying attention with the FR and mess up my teams score giving points away to shotgunners. I know some will say "It works at medium range". Yeah, well so does Felwinter's Lie. Trust me. That weapon has left a permanent mark in my hunters forehead. I would charge it around corners but I'm not quite that good at predicting the future yet. I know sone will say its crap but my last game with Hawkmoon and Rot(something) shotgun I went 17 and 5 with a 3.4 K/D. Thats good for me. With a fusion rifle I go like 4 and 16. I know it's not the weapon, its the player. But still they should let us pickup these bounties in either PvE or PvP. Do you really want me sinking your team cause I just want to complete a bounty?

The fusion rifle is good for pvp, it has solid range and impact. Just need to get used to precharging
