Test weapons in crucible: a horrible idea
EDIT 2: I'm done now with both the sniper and the fusion. Rumble seemed the easiest for me, especially since I played with my son and I let him kill me every time we met ;) Again, I'd like to apologize to any Guardian I got matched with, for being utterly useless and making a win impossible.
EDIT: Wow, so many replies :) To clarify: I'm not complaining that I have to play pvp - I know I don't. It's all good for me. I just think it's a bad idea for people enjoying pvp that the weapon testing might team them up with scrubs like me, trying to rank up with Banshee.
I hate the crucible. I suck like no other at it. I've played > 1500hrs in pve, and less than 2hrs in pvp. And now I'm trying to kill 2x 10 guardians with a special weapon (i.e. I never even have ammo to miss my enemies with) to complete rank 1 with Banshee so I can order a weapon - to play PVE, thank you very much.
What a HORRIBLE idea to lure scrubs like me into the crucible with the test weapons! I'm ruining every game for the unlucky fücks who happen to be on the same team. I'm extremely sorry for just sitting next to a green crate for minutes, waiting for the ammo to spawn, respawning myself instead every couple of seconds because the sitting duck I am got wasted again. Then I wait some more until my radar lights up. Then I panic-miss my four shots and die when reloading. Rinse and repeat. I've lucky enough by now to get 8 kills. I need 12 more...

3 RepliesI'm glad Bungie forces us to step outside our comfort zone. I suck at crucible and had a .3 kd. After having to play it for bounties and iron banner for the etheric light I actually started to get into it more. I still suck but last I checked my overall kd had climbed to .7 and I've been going positive more and more and enjoying a game mode I previously ran away from. Don't let the elitists deter you. I do stick to control and focus on not dying as much. It doesn't hurt my team as much as something with a smaller fireteam would. If I get confident enough, I'll then venture into those other modes more.

The fusion rifle was really good. Super tight bursts. The sniper sucked. Just didn't like the feel of it, but I have completed all the weapons. It isn't too hard

I disagree for a number of reasons, most of which have already been posted below. One of the reasons I think why it's great, is because it makes people use somewhat weaker weapons in PvP. I'm not saying that the weapons suck - the Omolon fusion rifle melts faces - but the weapons aren't as broken as what we're used to. I like that, a lot.

Iirc I saw 6 weapons, 3 for PvE and 3 for PvP. If you don't like to play PvP then leave the guns with Banshee. Unless you just want to burn through the content we don't have yet so next week we can complain that there is nothing left to do.

2 RepliesI literally just stood in the middle of the map waving at people when I was out of special ammo. -bungie you really think you can get me to play pvp don't you? Sure I'm in the arena but I'm definitely not playing the game mode. I'm there for my sniper and fusion kills only- Next week I'm just not going to bother picking up the pvp guns.. (I also deleted your 'in a fire team bounty) *because I don't have a fire team and nor do I want one. Nice try tho. . RATED T for twinklebot

I don't mind the idea of it despite it being obvious that they are trying to get more players into crucible. Personally, I like crucible but these guns handle very differently than what I'm used to. I usually run a sniper with an ambush scope and I keep having repeated near misses with these test snipers. It's frustrating but it adds a challenge- kind of like having to use whatever void weapons you had for the thorn bounty. I haven't tried the fusion rifle yet. I'm using them because I don't care about KD and just want to level up the gunsmith.
