[PSA] PS4 Secondary, Proxy or Sub-account users WILL NOT RECEIVE YEAR ONE VIP REWARDS!
Bunjie have confirmed that secondary account users will not be getting the preorder bonuses for TTK.

The bonuses permissions are not console wide even though the DLC is (It is region specific though so all content will have to have been purchased from the same region store)

VIP year one rewards terms and conditions follow the same policy.
To be eligible to receive the VIP rewards, players will need to have at least one Light Level 30 character or own both Expansion I and Expansion II on or before 08/31/15 AND purchase and play The Taken King on or before 02/01/16. VIP Rewards applicable for any eligible purchase of Destiny: The Taken King, Destiny: The Taken King – Legendary Edition, and Destiny: The Taken King – Collector’s Edition (digital or physical).

It says [b]AND purchase[/b]. So secondary accounts without the permissions will not get the VIP rewards even if you were level 30 before the 31st of august. (Remember moments of Triumph emblem has nothing to do with the VIP rewards which require a purchase of TTK to receive)
[b]This means that any kids playing on secondary accounts wont get the rewards. Anyone who purchased on one region who plays on another won't get the rewards.[/b]
Please Bump for visibility. This needs to be changed by Bunjie.

3 Replies[b]UPDATE[/b] I have received my VIP items on a proxy cross regional account. Thanks for the bumps everyone. I think most everyone has gotten their items so I must apologize for creating a fuss over nothing... but at least now i can spell BunGie.

19 RepliesI can't confirm if you are correct or not. But the Bungie posts you quoted, refer only to preorder and collector's content. I must point out, that you are drawing a conclusion at this point, and there are no confirmations, in either direction, regarding VIP items.

Please dont dissapoint me and so many other players that have bought the collectors edition . Alot of us have been a loyal fan from the start.

1 ReplyWe haven't had an update so I'm thinking that A. Bungie don't care or B. they don't know and are trying to sort it out and get the correct response out once it's been fixed. If it's B. ok fine. However I'm starting to think it might be A. and that they consider this a non-issue. It certainly wouldn't hurt to let us know but remember they are under tremendous pressure for launch. For what its worth if things do turn out the way I have speculated, I do think they will change it for sub-account users at the very least. Secondary accounts maybe not because of game-sharing on PS4. I think cross regional accounts are the least likely to be granted the permissions. So please don't fret if you are a parent because they will likely correct this. It would be clearly unjust for those family situations.

Agreed - this has been the most painful part of destiny.... too much restriction on content and such. I currently have TWO copies of all content on TWO systems but no sub accounts can even play on system two. Painful. And no response to help requests.

They are probably waiting to see what kind of fallout will ensue, similar to how car companies issue vehicle recalls. im almost 30. If your pricing structure doesnt include secondary/alt accounts then just say so, dont treat us like idiots. I'd have way less problems with all of this BungieVision crap if they would just admit everything they are doing is to get new subscribers; to suck money from the earth's crust. Be upfront about your recently acquired thuglife, nerds.

1 ReplyI seriously hope this gets addressed. It's ridiculous that I purchased Taken King and I don't even get the rewards on my own account that I purchased the expansion on?? I purchased the game on the secondary account shouldnt I get the rewards on the secondary account? It has said I'm locked out of the taken king as well as not being able to get the pre-order shader/emblem and yet I'm on the account that purchased the game. I would really like clarification from bungie on this issue since it does not seem right.

Agreed, we are on 2 ps4's my husband plays the secondary account. I payed for the upgrade believing we would both be getting the benefits. If they are only giving half then I would like half my 60 bucks back.
