And you've put 11 days into 3 characters... How many other games have you put that much time into? Are you saying 11 days wasn't worth 100 bucks?

  • Played skyrim for 2 month. Was only 60 buck at launch. That was well worth the 60. And anyone can play a game for 18 days (worth of hours) it's about the content they playing through.

  • But you have to admit playing for 10+ days is worth the money... why would you keep playing if you just absolutely hated it? It doesn't make any sense.

  • I agree. I do like the game. But the money their making you pay to keep yourself relevant is ridiculous. In my honest opinion. The first 2 dlc should have been free. Or at least 10. Personally. I bought TTK just for me new subclass. But I'm not buying another dlc. Bungie is all over the place with their decisions and I feel like everything will be a waste of money when destiny 2 comes out.

  • Essentially yes. But...you can contact PlayStation support and ask for a refund of your dlc purchase price. I did just a little while ago, it's subject to review and I'll hear from them, yes or no, in 3-5 business days. Can't hurt to try.

  • You payed $100 for Destiny, TDB, and HoW. This being Year 2, its a new game. If you don't believe me, the title screen is no longer "Destiny", it's "Destiny: The Taken King"

  • A new game doesn't overwrite the last. It's an expansion, but an expansion that takes away most modes it's "expanding" if you don't pay another $40. If it was another game, aka destiny 2, then it'd have its own game page, rather than be listed as an add-on under the Destiny page in the Xbox and Playstation Store.

  • A new game using the same disc as a base. I'm sick of explaining this to people who don't want to spend 40 dollars for someone's work and to continue playing their game. Want to remain high and mighty? Go right ahead but this shit won't change a sound business plan. "But Corvo, a sound business plan for a game company is caring for the players" They are, they are caring for the ones that want to keep seeing the game expand.

  • They recycled old content for new users and locked old users out, please sit down the adults are speaking

  • You say you're an adult but can't understand why someone would want to be paid for their hard work and complain about a 40 dollar price tag. I get it, you must be one of those adults working at McDonald's yelling about wanting 15 an hour...

  • Running your own business isn't a mark of financial stability. Hitching about a 40 dollar price is a mark of financial stability.
a bad mark
• A new game? Dafuq? You pay 40€ to get a new "planet", a few strikes, 8 "story" missions and a Raid. Destiny itself had 4 planets, a few more strikes, a Raid, The Crucible, a lot of "story" missions and the novelty factor. I do not even get a 1/3rd of the Content with TTK, compared to what I got when I bought the base game. So when you say that TTK is a whole new game, either you're an Idiot, or I expect more content from a 40€ game, than you do.

  • I spent $40 on it, I'm not trying to be high and mighty. Just saying how the poster has a point. A new game on the same disc? A you serious? It's an expansion, not a new game. This expansion just happens to come out in year two. Granted it's similar to a new game because of size, but it's an expansion. Just because bungie is selling a bundle for it like a game pack does not make it a new game. If you can't grasp this concept, here is an example. GTA4 lone game, then 2 giant expansions came out, enough to be comparable to a new game. Rockstar decided to make a sell a new disc, that had the added expansions onto the GTA4 disc, BUT it was still GTA4(clearly evident by how GTAV was released years later). Bungie is doing the exact same thing rockstar did. The people that have a problem with this (like above poster), is simply based on pricing. The point poster has is simple. A newbie spends $40 and gains all destiny content. A day one player has to spend $40 + some previous destiny content, and receives the exact same product.

  • No, it's a dlc bud. There's a subtle difference.
