Urksis stood up from his throne, looking at the Vandal. He turns on a holographic display. "Urksis?" The Vandal questioned. Urksis looks at him and grabs him by his throat, strangling him. The Vandal's Ether slowly draining. "You shall address me by Kell Urksis! Do you hear me?!" Urksis threw the Vandal to the ground, breaking it's leg. The Vandal grunts and breathes heavily. He stands up and walks away in a limp, whimpering. "The key will be ours soon, Vandal... Soooon... Time will tell." Urksis clicked lowly sitting back down in his throne. Urksis slowly chuckles. "Time..." --------------------------------------------------- The team waited patiently for someone to talk. Five minutes of absolute silent, no one knew what to say. Everyone just sat and stayed quiet. Rush yawns and stands up. "No one, hm... I'm just gonna go... Do something." Rush leaves quietly, leaving the group in complete silence, Emilia sighs and shakes her head. She stands up and goes after Rush. "Wonder what's wrong with him?" Dennis asks the remaining two. Dennis and Maria shook their heads. Maria sighs and Dennis checks his sub-systems. "No idea," Maria replies. She laid down on the couch, yawning. "Boredom possibly." Gizmo says and groans. "Well, there's nothing else we can do, except wait for them two..." --------------------------------------------------- Rush summons his Ghost, ready for orbit. Emilia walks up behind him, sneakily. In a attempt to surprise Rush, yet she fails. "I know you're there." Rush says to Emilia. He then turns around, puts Hunt away, and sighs. "But how'd you know?" Emilia asked, she was sure she didn't make any noise. "Well, I am a Hunter. A lone wolf... That could be a reason." Rush turns around once again and looks at the City below the Tower. [i]The Vault Of Glass, why there of all locations...[/i] Emilia poked Rush's shoulder. "You okay? You seem a bit down. Something bothering you?" She asked. "A bit yeah..." Rush sat down, still looking at the City. "Actually, I was just going to head to Venus for a bit. That was what I was about to do until you came up behind me." Emilia let out a simple "Oh," and sat right next to him. "So what are ya gonna do now?" She asked. "Well... Nothing now.." Rush sighs. [i]What do I tell her?...[/i] Emilia looks around, looking at the City below. She lets a sigh, stood up, and looks at Rush. She starts to walk off before Rush sighs and grabs her robe. "Hmm?" Emilia turned around to face Rush. "Don't go into the Vault..." Rush says vaguely. He let go of her robe and turned back to the city. Emilia stood still for a bit, thinking about his words. She shook her head and started walking back to the Hunter bar. "I have something to say..." Emilia stops in her tracks. Rush continues. "The Vault... Emilia, my previous Fireteam died to the Vault Of Glass. Three of them to the Oracles. Two to the Gorgons... They were wiped them from Time and Space. Don't go... I don't want you guys to end up like them..." Rush's voice cracked. Emilia stood in her tracks, looking down at the ground. She spoke no words, only standing still on the grass. "...Continue..." Emilia says. "... We opened the Vault. It felt like time had stopped. It's like we entered a different corner of time..." Rush continued sadly. "We had ran past everything up until the Templar's Well. [Confluxes, done. Oracles are summoned.] We were marked multiple times, we couldn't destroy them. We have already cleansed ourselves multiple times. However the cleansing pool stopped working. Three of us were lucky to escape the Templar, cleansed." Rush cleared his throat, and coughed. His voice starts to get shaky. "We went through the shaft of a hidden cave. S-Sliding down to the Gorgon's Labyrinth. The Templar initiated the Ritual of Negation. The other 3 Fireteam members yelled and screamed, then it stopped... Only the sounds of Vex chattering remained. I-I had lost communication with them, every one of those three. Their G-Ghosts crushed, broken, and drained of Light. All of them were close f-friends, closer then you can think..." He starts tearing up, but continues to tell about the Vault. "The other two... The other two were spotted by the Gorgons. I was the only one left... I sat alone in the Vault. I went over to see one of my dead comrades cloak, burnt, ashy. Any was her name and h-her Ghost was gone, only her cloak remained... I took my knife and tore a piece off the cloak... I-I couldn't handle the Vault anymore... I left soon after... I wanted to survive..." Rush started to tear up, he looked back down at the City. He didn't want to go into further details. Emilia walked towards Rush and sat next to him. She hugged, and patted Rush on the back. "It's alright, Rush... It's alright. There is no need for emotions... If you want to let it all out, you can..." Emilia attempted to soothe Rush. [i]Everest-5, Kane, Joey, Fioria-3, and Amy.[/i] Rush thought of his previous Fireteam. [i]I miss all of you... I'll traverse the Vault, I'll fix my mistakes... I'm sorry...[/i] Rush takes out a piece of Amy's cloak. He held it firmly in his hands, he felt the touch of his old Fireteam members. How they did everything together. Strikes, Patrol, everything. Everything except for raids. One of Rush's tears fell on the cloak of Amy and the touch fades away to the shimmering light of the day. Emilia lets go of Rush, and stands up. She looks at the burnt cloak. Rush looks down at the burnt piece of cloth, and puts it away. Rush stood quiet, no words. He looks at Emilia, putting his helmet on. "Emilia..." Rush says, "Tell them there might be a delay to the raid... For now..." His helmet was fully on and Rush's Jumpship flew by. He jumps on top of it and enters his ship. "To Venus, Hunt..." Hunt appears in a flash of light and does what Rush told him to. They take off for Venus. [i]I'm doing it for them...[/i] Rush mumbles to himself...
