Someone at Verizon(I think) said that online gaming is considered streaming and takes up huge amounts of data. The person also said that no internet service providers have unlimited plans anymore. (I am looking at new provider and wandered in Verizon to see if they had anything)

I was told the new consoles stream if still plugged in by a cable guy working on our internet the other day. Not the same streaming as like twitch and stuff but according to him it uses your data as long as it's connected to the Internet. It barely uses any data unless your watching Netflix in hd or something. Don't know this for a fact but was told this from a cable guy

Gaming uses VERY little data... As in, low Kb/s

Verizon is not to bright

Figures. It's Verizon lol No it is not considered steaming but for Verizon it apparently does. Don't use Verizon.

Comcast didn't have a bandwidth limit

Edited by Atlas Enderium: 9/10/2015 9:32:12 PMStreaming (data) - download a large packet of video and audio Streaming (gaming) - putting out a live feed of video and audio to entertain others In certain ways, the same. But not always the same

12 RepliesTry AT&T. If you are in a location that you can get their fiber optics Internet, then you will be fine. Plus they have unlimited. Well, there is enough to where I can play online games 20 hours a day for a month and not run out of Internet. Also, the Internet is incredibly fast. I was able to install the game Limbo in about a minute. (It's a small game. But that is still fast). Online gaming takes up more data than anything else. Never use Comcast. Ever. EVER
