The range on that thing is amazing though. I haven't taken it into the crucible yet but i shot it a few times in patrol. I was killing dregs from across the map with no trouble.

You need to be in shotgun range to one shot people in crucible

No you don't. If you're not one shotting with that fusion rifle, you're not hitting center mass. If you hit someone with the full blast, you can one shot from mid range.

You can be well away from shotgun range.

It didn't work that well from me, I was hitting body shots at a decent distance and only taking down their health halfway.
